Recount and Procedural writing.

Overall aim and context of the lesson:


3WTT1 write a recount with well sequenced events
using a range of descriptive words.

3WTT2: write a procedural text that includes explicit


information.

Over all students able to used the transition words in their


writing. Abel to writing using the recount and procedural
styles in their writing. Also, develop their presentation
skills as well as speaking skills.

Choose two aspects from the competency areas to evaluate and discuss (one paragraph each) according
to following

Firstly, discuss one aspect that YOU feel you did very well. Try to analyze why you think it worked well
and what hints you would share with other teachers about the successful strategy/
resource/activity/management style etc.

Having an instruction cards for each group. It helps the teacher and the students to
be in the task unit the lesson finish. Also, it reduce the teacher center and increase
the students center where it helpful to make the students working independently
and responsible about completing their work in time.
Secondly, elaborate on the aspect identified by YOU that requires attention. Discuss what the problem
was, why it occurred and what action you intend to take to be more successful in the next lesson.

To tell to the students and give an example of how to use the time carefully in
order to get good markers. Also, reminding them at the time that had been give
for you is for planning, writing, check your work and to practice your work.

Personal focus for next lesson:


To put note on my table to ask the students at the end of what they learn. For
example, use some of the form assessment to ensure that they understand the
lesson. Form assessment such as think, pair and share or discussing with the class
or asking open-end questions.
