After the Observation:

1. What was the objective of the lesson? To know the difference between the addition and
the fraction, also to know the odd numbers and even

2. Was the objective achieved? Yes, and I know that we achieved when teacher Mariam
gave them a worksheet to answer individually and they all answered correctly

3. How was the concept introduced? By power point and video and by doing, they used
their fine motor skills to count

4. How much teaching was done in L1? As a student in grade 2 it was very good I was
surprised

5. Why do you think the teachers used L1? As you know in math class students and teacher
speaks in Arabic because in their main language

6. Did the teacher use manipulatives? What were the purpose of these? I don't know

7. Were there any other resources/materials used to deliver the lesson? yes, the teacher
used items in the class like numbers, flash cards and data show

8. What strategies/method did she use to teach the concept? The teacher uses the PPP
method, presentation practice, and production

9. Did teacher do whole-class teaching or group work? No, she let the student work in
group to help each other and we she saw all the student understand the concept she give them
another worksheet but to write it individually

10. When did she work with the whole class? Why? First, she gives the students instruction
on how to answer the question and some examples. Then they do on their own to see how
much understand take place

11. How much of the lesson were the students using the book? Actually all the time but she
let them write their answers on the board
