After the Observation:

1. What was the objective of the lesson? Students will be able to use addition and
subtraction to solve word problems.

2. Was the objective achieved? yes

3. How was the concept introduced? She give them a problem (Ahmed and Ali are
collecting coins, Ahmed gave Ali 25 coins. Ali has 10 coins, how many coins
they have?

4. How much teaching was done in L1? Whole the lesson

5. Why do you think the teachers used L1? Because they curriculum is in Arabic

6. Did the teacher use manipulatives? What were the purposes of these? She used
the manipulatives to help them in counting, subtraction and adding

7. Were there any other resources/materials used to deliver the lesson? No

8. What strategies/method did she use to teach the concept? She wrote a problem in
the board then she solves it with explaining the way of solving problems. Then
she asked the students to solve the other problems on the board.

9. Did teacher do whole-class teaching or group work? Whole class teaching

10. When did she work with the whole class? Why? When she explains the problem
in the board, because she wants them to know the method of solving problems
then she let them to work individually in their math book.
