Primary Functions
This relay provides 3-pole tripping functions and initiates autoreclosure. The primary purpose of this relay
is 3-zone stepped line phase and ground distance protection, pilot Permissive Overreaching Tripping
scheme. Distance is blocked by VT Fuse Failure, Power Swing Detect and load Enchroachment. Line
Pickup (switch onto the fault) backs up distance on line energization. Autoreclose can be initiated
externally (from L90 relay, for example) and is supervised by synchrocheck. Relay has inputs from breaker
auxiliary contacts, panel pushbuttons, RTU etc, also outputs for trip, alarm, status that are collected by the
HMI and RTU.
