LESSON PLAN I

Educational Unit : SMA Negeri Bali Mandara

Subject : Mathematics
Grade Level/Semester : X/ 2
Topic : Vector
Sub Topic : Angle Between 2 Vectors
Time Allocation : 1 lesson duration

A. Learning Objectives
1. Content Objectives
By discussing and solving the problems on the worksheet, student will be
able to:
1) determine the angle formed by two vectors geometrically
2) solve the problem related to the angle between two vectors
2. Language Objectives
By discussing and solving the problems on the worksheet, student will be
able to:
1) use words the smallest, the biggest to describe the range of the angle
formed by two vectors, by the following sentence frame:
“_________(the smallest/ the biggest) possible size of angle between
two vectors u and v is _________”
2) use words less than or equal to, greater than or equal to to describe
the range of the angle formed by two vectors, by the following
sentence frame:
“The angle between two vectors u and v is the angle θ in which,
θ is _______ (greater than or equal to / less than or equal
to)______”
3) use the words greater than, less than, or equal to, by the following
sentence frame:
If θ is__________ (greater than/ less than/ or equal to) 90°, then θ
is_______ (an acute / a right / an obtuse) angle.
B. Basic Competence
3.2 Explaining vector, operation of vector, the length of vector, angle
between vector in two-space (plane) and three-space
4.2 Solving the problems related to vector, operation of vector, the length of
vector, angle between vector in two-space (plane) and three-space

C. Indicators
3.2.1 Determining the angle formed by two vectors geometrically
4.2.1 Solving the problem related to the angle between two vectors

D. Learning Material

The angle between two vectors u and v is the angle θ that satisfies:
0°  θ  180°
This definition works for both 2D space and 3D space.
The angle is the smallest angle that one vector can be rotated until it aligns
with the other.
