Last date for submission 11-8-2017(12:30PM)

1. For the clipper circuit shown in Fig, the input Vi= 1000 sinωt. Plot the transfer
characteristic and the input and output waveforms. Assume ideal diodes. ---------CO1

2. Draw a series and shunt clipper circuit to transmit that part of a sine wave, which is
below +4 V and give its transfer characteristics.------------------------CO1
3. Draw a circuit to transmit that part of a sine wave, which lies between -2 V and -5 V.-
---CO1
4. Discuss the influence of the diode characteristics on clamping voltage?---------CO1
5. Design a diode clamper to restore the positive peaks of the input signal to a voltage
level of 5V. Assume the diode cut-in voltage is 0.5V,f=1kHz,Rf=1kΩ,Rr=200kΩ and
RC=10T.----------------------CO1
