“Organizational commitment is the bond employees experience with their organization.
Broadly speaking, employees who are committed to their organization generally feel a
connection with their organization, feel that they fit in and they understand the goals of the

There are mostly employees are committed from their jobs because they earn a handsome and
fair wage for their services, so there the quitting ratio in this company is very low due to the
behavior of the owner with his workers.

4) Emotional Labor
“Emotional labor is the process of managing feeling and expressions to fulfill the emotional
requirements of a job. More specifically, workers are expected to regulate their emotions during
interactions with customers, co-workers and superiors.”

There is not high level of emotional labor is required because they do not interact face to face
with the customers. Only owner of the organization deal with the customers of the company in
case of absence of the owner foreman of the company deal with the customers. There is very
frank environment in the organization all colleagues behave very friendly but sometimes if they
have any kind of issue with their fellows then they show surface acting and their other colleagues
try to solve their issues.

They are fully allowed to express their feelings here in the organization with their colleagues or
superior. There is some values of the organization which employees have to follow them but
these values are very light and employees easily follow them without any disturbance such as

UOS.GC Page 6

6) Personality Job Fit

“The Personality job fit theory postulates that a person’s personality traits will reveal insight as
to adaptability within an organization is expressed as their Person Organization (P-O) fit. This is
also referred to a person-environment fit.”

Personality job fit in organization’s context…

Here we are going to discuss the personality, skills and educational level of company’s
employees and requirements of job.

Personality
“The sum total of way in which an individual reacts and interacts with others, measureable
traits a person exhibits.”

A person’s personality is very important thing and he/she should choose his/her profession
according to the personality, because if our personality does match to our profession then we will
be more productive and this thing is important for organization and for our self as well. Here in
this company most of the workers have personality according to the requirement of their job but
some of them have not personality job fit in this company they are working here in this
organization just due to lack of employment opportunities and they cannot perform their
activities like other employees. They are looking for a good opportunity which does match to
their personality and they will quit from the organization.

Skills
“The ability to do something well.”

A skilled person is more productive and performer than an unskilled one, if a person is skilled in
the job then he/she can perform better and more than others because he/she don’t required
training and he already know what to do in this job and he/she will work faster than the trainee
workers because they need to learn what they have to perform in their job. There are almost all
the employees are experienced and skilled. They all are working here at least since 6 months and
it is enough time to learn something and they all have knowhow about their job and some of the
employees who are working here from the beginning of the company are the experts in their field
and almost 50% of the employees are expert in their job.

UOS.GC Page 8
Organizational Behavior 2017

Educational Level
Education is very important thing to get succeed in every field, but sometimes people get
succeed in their professions without having educational quality because they have lot of
experience and expertise in their fields they get succeed without education but they must did lot
of hard work to achieve expertise in their professions. Just like that here in this organization
education does not matter but experience and expertise does.

7) Organization’s Core Values

“Core values are the fundamental beliefs of a person or organization. These guiding principles
dictate behavior and can help people understand the difference between right and wrong. Core
Values also help companies to determine if they are on the right path and fulfilling their goals by
creating an unwavering guide.”

Super Classic does not have very vast values, there are very few values in the organization and
that’s why all employees do not feel any kind of hesitation to follow them. There are following
values of the organization…

i) They give preference to produce goods at cheap cost by taking quality into
consideration, because their first preference is middle class and poor people but they
also produce some high quality products for upper class peoples.
ii) All employees have to communicate with each other by using a good language which
could be Urdu or Punjabi, but if anyone uses abusive language he will be taking
seriously and owner of the company could take hard decision for him.
iii) All Muslim employees have offered all prayers till remaining in the company,
otherwise he could bear fine and fine will be deducted from his salary.

8) Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivations

Intrinsic Motivations
“Intrinsic Motivation is defined as performing an action or behavior because you enjoy

the activity itself. The inspiration for acting on Intrinsic Motivation can be found in the action
itself.”

Factors of Intrinsic Motivation

Challenge
“We are best motivated when we are working toward personally meaningful goals whose
attainment requires activity at a continuously optimal level of difficulty.”

UOS.GC Page 9
Organizational Behavior 2017

In this company every employees have to produce a specific number of products when they
produce that required quantity of products then they could go to home or they can work here for
some extra time and they being rewarded for that extra time. This thing motivates them to
complete their work as soon as possible.

Curiosity
“Something in the physical environment attracts our attention or there is a discrepancy
between present knowledge or skills and what these could be if we engaged in some activity.”

The employees who are not very skilled or new employees who have lack of expertise and lack
of knowhow of their job sometimes are very curios to learn what they have to do in their job.
Here in this company some newly hired workers are very curios to learn about this job and this
thing motivate them to do more.

Cooperation
“We feel satisfaction by helping others achieve our goals.”

When the staff of an organization is cooperative there all employees get satisfaction to help each
other, in this company staff is cooperative and they get please by helping others, so they get fully
satisfied from their job and according to research a satisfied worker is more productive than an
unsatisfied one.

Recognition
“We feel satisfaction when others recognize and appreciate our accomplishment.” When a
person get recognize by the superiors for his efforts then they want to be more productive and try
to create their image in the organization. Here in this company employee get appreciation by the
employer by performing well and this thing motivate them to perform well.

Extrinsic Motivations
“Extrinsic Motivation refers to behavior that is driven by external rewards such as money,
fame, grades and praise. This type of motivation arises from outside the individual, as opposed to
intrinsic motivation, which originates inside of the individual.”

Financial Rewards
“Commissions, Bonuses, stock options and employee stock plans are compensatory rewards
used to motivate employees. Within the range of extrinsic motivations, these are “carrots.” The
drive for money and success can often get people.”

Here in Super Classic company all the employees get rewarded from their employer for their
efforts. This thing motivates them to be more productive and being good for the company.

UOS.GC Page 10
Organizational Behavior 2017

Praise and Recognition

“Some people aim to please, and nothing please them more than receiving praise for their
hard work. This extrinsic motivation is one of the strongest, most common motivations in the
workplace. Numerous studies show recognition and praise contribute more to job satisfaction
than financial incentives. Regularly delivering sincere and genuine compliments is a strong
extrinsic motivational method.”

There is cooperative environment in the company and all employees get recognition from the
employer for their work. If any employees have an idea he allowed to communicate that idea
with the employer and they get praise from the employer. This thing motivates them to bring
new ideas and get praise and appreciation.

Punishment
“when the heat’s on, many people take action or step up their performance. Knowing the
boss will be angry or their job may be on the line is a reason many people get their work done. Is
fear the best motivational tool in the arsenal? Psychologists and management experts debate this,
but it is definitely an extrinsic motivation.”

Employees get punishment here in this company if they show/perform a wrongful act. If any
employee does something which is against the values of organization or any person do anything
which is restricted by the employer or organization he will face punishment by the employer.
This thing not allows them to do anything wrong.
