facility where machines and work areas exist (typically MICE 1 or
higher)
• Work areas are those areas within a factory floor area where
personnel interact with the telecommunications devices and industrial
machines
(typically MICE1 or higher)
• Automation island is the
space within the factory
floor in immediate proximity
to or on the industrial
machines and usually
accompany by a work area
(typically MICE3)
