Metro extension from Dilshad Garden to Ghaziabad To provide the commuters a faster
and cheaper alternative to the existing public transport system. To solve the
problem of solve the problem of overcrowding, insufficient security in other modes
of transport that trouble commuters The connection from Ghaziabad via Dilshad
Garden will provide the residents with a substitute to the existing Anand Vihar-
Vaishali line. The alignment will have seven stations - at Shahid Nagar, Raj Bagh,
Rajendra Nagar, Shyam Park, Mohan Nagar, Arthala and New Bus Stand. The average
distance between the stations is 1.35km The overhead structure should meet all the
design specifications as mentioned in the clearance documents The project boundary
covers the route between Ghaziabad and Dilshad garden and the construction of 6
stations that are planned. It does not include any extra that is provided by DMRC.
It also does not include any specific service that will be provided in a station
Cost structure document, Clearance documents from various authorities, Contract
agreements with various vendors, Legal documents, Tax documents, Life expectancy
document pertaining to the overhead structure. Allowing free flow of vehicular
traffic on the already congested along with chosen alignment, Paucity availability
of land, Problems to pedestrians, Problems to existing residents According to Delhi
Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) the 9.41 km project would cost around Rs.1591 crore.
The project once started would take around 4 years to complete.

Project Manager

Shri Mangu Singh is the MD of DMRC under his supervision the metro extension is
being constructed. He joined the Indian Railway Service of Engineers in 1983
through the 1981 Examination conducted by the UPSC. He has held various positions
in operating, managing of Railway system and also planning, procurement and
implementation of projects on Indian Railways. He also worked as Deputy Chief
Engineer, Kolkata Metro Railway Phase I Dilshad Garden – Mohan Nagar Phase II Mohan
Nagar – New Bus Station Funding Pattern for Proposed METRO for New Bus Stand,
