GOOD PRESENTATION

In general, a good presentation is a presentation that covers some aspects, such as:
1. Remembering the audience
The objectives of the presentation must be stated clearly at the introduction. It has to fulfill the
audience’s need and expectancy. A good presentation has to make audience involves actively.
Presenter has to create a good environment of the presentation.
2. Organize the information
A good presentation must include a proper organization of the information. The design of the
overall structure must be clear. The introduction and the closing part must give a maximum effect
for the audience. The different sections must be linked properly. Time management also must be
set properly for the presentation.
3. Use visuals effectively
Simple word and picture (if necessary) to create a simple message are needed in order to maintain
the message of the presentation. The equipment should be used properly and professionally to
support the presentation. The copy of the materials is needed for the audience.
4. Communicate with body language
Maintain a confident attitude to give a positive impact or the presentation and audience. Relaxed
attitude also must be maintained. Eye contact is also important part in the presentation. Beside of
the eye contact, body language also takes a big role for a successful presentation. Avoid distracting
manners in front of the audience.
5. Deliver the message correctly
Use the effective voices, volume, rhythm, and pause. Choose the best material that is appropriate
with the audience need and proficiency.
6. A good preparation
Practice makes perfect. So, practicing before the real presentation will improve the real situation.
Supporting notes are also needed in order to assist and prevent the possible mistakes happen
during the presentation.

It can be concluded that there are some rules for the presenter, what should and should not be done in a
good presentation:
 Establish a clear objective  Use visuals to improve impact and clarity
 It contains the audience expectation  Handle the equipment professionally
 The information must be organized  Use summaries to link the parts
 Use notes to assist  Think about the cultural environment
 Make it interesting  Dress in appropriate way
 Use proper volume and intonation  Prepare and practice before
 Keep it simple and do not use too many  Be confident and relaxed
words and visuals  Handle the questions positively
