Meeting Minutes
January 29, 2018

Opening
The regular meeting of the Fort Hays Association of Nursing Students was called to order
at 3:30 pm on January 29, 2018 in Stroup Hall Room 101 by Bethany Oeser.

Approval of Agenda
The agenda was unanimously approved as distributed.

Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as distributed.

Open Issues
Before end of Fall semester account had $4562.86 not subtracting the $60 for pizza for
today’s first meeting.

Meetings will be once a month the 3rd Monday at 3:30 pm unless indicated differently to
comply with semester school scheduled breaks.

$5 per semester for dues. Dues should be collected in January and August if possible.

Announcements and updates will be put on Facebook page and

Feb 9th the Night to Shine Prom. Those interested in participating, members need to see
Bethany for more information. NCF will also be a part of it as well.

Suggestions always accepted for more involvement and

New Business
New committees: fundraiser for community, fundraiser for organization. Committee for
community involvement. Each committee will need a chair of the committee and
secretary. Committees will give report for each committee at meetings of updates and
upcoming events for each committee. Committees will need to meet once a month on
their own. Secretary will take minutes and email to a board member. The chair will speak
at official orgaizaitonal meetings for feedback and approval for ideas.
Trying to get speakers to come to meetings. Official meetings will take place after the
speakers finish. Dates and possible speakers are as follows:

- Feb 19th with speaker from CSI for how an organization should be run.
- March 26th with possible career service person spokes persons for interview and
resume tips.
- April 16th with Mr. Russel about self defense

Meeting was adjourned at 4:07 pm by Bethany Oeser. The next general meeting will be at
3:30 pm on February 19, 2018, in Stroup Hall in Room 166.
