Quick Set up and installation of

BTS11 Software
First steps to install or update the BTS11 Software

New installation >>>> If you are the only user of the PC>>Do not change anything in the default
settings!Only press save and next !

Update>>>>>>>>> Make a copy of your database and store it were you can find it.
Proceed as in”New installation ”

Install the drivers>> In BTS 11>>go to HELP/USER MANUALS/BTS11/INSTALL DRIVERS

In the BTS11 menus:


Software settings>> Draw filled curves
Approvals of test

Database>>>>>>> Choose master database for test


Manage users

Path>>>>>>>>>> Location of your test reports>>press ”set defaults”

Connecting the POB 30
Connect the communication cable to POB and laptop
Connect +and—to one of the coils output and to the SA10
Connect the motor output from the POB to the SA10
Choose in the Setup menu>>Hardware>>Power supplies and choose according your
needs.
Ready!!Al Voltage settings will be done in the BTS11 software
Quick Set up of a new Breaker Configuration
>> Connect the SA10 and transducer to the breaker>>Use the push buttons to test that CB working

>> Go to Service menu >> Control unit>>Transducer>2500 pulse>reset>close CB>Note the Value for later use, and
Close the Control unit.

CREATING CONVERSION TABLES


>>FILE>>>>>>>> Choose Conversion tables>>Conversion table Guide
Choose >>Create simple table
Start angle –10,Stopp +20,Angle steps 0,036
Angel travel from actual operation of the breaker .Take the value that you have noted earlier from
The service menu.
Linear contact travel>>>Get it from the manufacturer specifications.
Give it a Name>>Use the same name as the actual breaker type, including the stroke
SET UP
Switch Config.>>>Choose in switch type UNB 100 or UNB100R(preinsertaion resistor),>>1-or 3-pole operated and mechanism type.
Save as: (Breaker type)!!! After changes ALWAYS PRESS SAVE!!!!

Test specifications (Tab)


Test settings:
UNB test definitions>>>what will you test??
(Rename, press save) Channels,Trigg,Time,”Paper length”,C-O,Resistance,DCM,…(settings>View/Edit)

UNB measurement definitions> Filters (set resistance to 0)


(Rename, press save) Conversion table>>choose the one you have created earlier. (Or use an already existing)

UNB Test profile (Protocol) > > Poles, mechanisms 1 or 3


Choose what you need Under Tab.”Pole data” Choose how many contacts each phase have (choose 1contact at a 3-pole operated CB)
(Rename, press save) Manual checkpoints for the test protocol (textbox)
Function values (Tab)>>>>>> Limits shown after test in the graph(wiew>>check + values)
SF6 fill pressure (see the breaker rating plate)

Input connections (button)>> Choose channels and inputs


Type of transducers
Color/Scale (button)>>>> Choose your personal colors and scales

PRESS SAVE>>>>>GO TO THE TEST WIZZARD and follow the instructions!
