Ms.

Brooks' 2nd grade class will be taking a field trip on Tuesday, March 3rd to the Daily Newspaper
office. We will leave the school at 9 am by bus and return at 12 pm in time for lunch.

In our most recent lesson, we learned about the aspects of a story, such as the setting, plot, characters,
and moral of a story. In our visit to the Daily Newspaper office, we will not only be learning how the
local newspaper is written and produced, but also learning about the aspects of the stories going into
that week's paper. We will be interacting with the staff at the Daily Newspaper and completing a
worksheet and discussion about our trip when we return. Please feel free to attend this trip as a
chaperone if you wish! Just complete this form and return to school by Monday, March 2nd.
