    To Whom It May Concern:

    I am writing to request an excused absence from school from February 13-17, 2023. On my special
    day, my long-distance parents will be visiting me, and I would like to spend more time with them.

    My parents live in Manila, which means I have not seen them in the longest time. I am looking
    forward to the opportunity to catch up with them and spend the time together. I understand that I
    will miss classes that day, and I am happy to complete any makeup work or assignments.
