Reflections on Observation Task 4: Development of Early Writing Skills

1. What are developmental writing stages the majority of the students in?

- “Writing pretend letters or strings of letters” most of the students are in this stage
of writing.

2. Describe and explain two (2) suggested strategies that the teacher can use to help the majority of the
students within their developmental writing stage.

- Some of my suggestions for the strategies that teachers can use it to develop
children’s writing stages is to write a word and letter every day to practice and let
them remember always how to write, let them write their names every day on the
board, let them try to write their friend’s names, and give the students letters and
let them create a word.
