Who? There are two main characters, Mr. Lipton and Ms. Hernandez. Who are both
teachers at the same high school and were chaperones for a school-trip to six
flags.

What? The superintendent has requested the dismissal of both Mr. Lipton and Ms.
Hernandez as teachers under charges of negligence. Many support the
superintendent’s decision, but there are also many against the decision who
advocated for a less harsh punishment towards the teachers.

When? The incident occurred May 12

Where? The incident that has led to the dismissal of two teachers occurred in six flags,
however, the actual location of the firing is Leaguetown Highschool in the
Panhandle.

Why? The two teachers are under the threat of being fired because on a school trip
to six flags these two teachers were the chaperones and they forgot two
students on the way back home from six flags. Due to this the busses had to go
back and pick up the students but many think that the issue was a large and
careless mistake that should be punished.

How? A large investigation was called for and the superintendent and the school
board got lawyers and opinions of parents involved and the decision was made
to dismiss the teachers. However, upon hearing this, students became
involved and wished for the teachers to stay so the school board decided that
it will have a special meeting where all perspectives will be taken into
consideration.
