3. Identify what the words with long i, and what the words with long e.
Personal focus: Ensure that students are know the differences between ie (with long i), and ie (with
long e).
Possible Problems and Misconceptions: some students don’t understand the comparing between these
two (ie).
Solutions: the teacher will set with them to explain it or she will give them easiest activities.

Firstly, will present a video about a phonics song (aeiou) with actions.
Teacher will review some phonics sounds for students, students will repeat them after the teacher several
times. Some phonics of the lesson are (ou, ie, ow, le, ph), after this, teacher will ask. Who can give me a
word having one of those sounds? Excellent, who will try to give another?
Core while lesson (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures):
Here, Teacher will explain the differences between (ie) which is say it with long (e) such as piece, chief,
believe, etc. and another (ie) which is say it with long (i) such as pie, tie, quiet by present it in the power
point.
After Explaining the difference between the two phonics, teacher will say here I have 3 different activities
about those phonics we will look to see your understanding about it. Eyes on me and listen to the
instructions:
Activity1) "Here is a worksheet with a lot of word with (ie) long (i) and long (e). You must find only the
words who has a long (i) and circle them"
Activity2) "This worksheet has a lot of word with (ie) long (i) and long (e). You should find only the words
who has a long (e) and circle them"
