I am writing to you regarding the listed graduate nurse residency position posted on the Baycare
Careers website. I wish to pursue a position within the Baycare company as I have personally
seen the pleasant and competent employees throughout each facility. Baycare provides an

I am currently a nursing student in my final semester at the University of South Florida. I

graduate this coming May 2018 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. My NCLEX
testing date will be scheduled for early June. I am seeking a full-time position as a newly
graduated Registered Nurse.

During my last two years in the nursing program, I have completed over 600 hours of clinical
rotations in Baycare facilities. Throughout my time in the hospitals, I developed my skills by
shadowing and assisting nurses on several different medical-surgical floors and specialty units. I
performed assessments and provided comprehensive nursing care for countless patients. I
expanded my knowledge of the nursing process and the responsibilities of the individual nurse
on any given day. In my last semester, I worked alongside a preceptor on a cardiac progressive
care unit for over 180 hours. By the end of my preceptorship, I was able to primarily care for
four patients throughout the day while performing all necessary nursing tasks such as taking vital
signs, performing assessments, safely administering medication, and documenting in patient
charts.

As outlined on my resume, the education and skills I have worked on throughout the last several
years have prepared me for a career in the healthcare field. I look forward to continuing to
improve upon my skillset and ability to provide the highest possible quality of care. I am excited
