Stormboard is a visual networking service that allow students to collaborate using a virtual poster board that can be used to plan
and coordinate a group effort.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collaboration among students in your classroom, or among
students and others outside of the classroom?

I would force the students to make a Stormboard with their group members for a specific project, Then, I would base a portion of
their grade on the quality and clarity of their Stormboard.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using
the selected resource?
 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
I would give Stormboard a 3 on this scale for three reasons: First, it creates an environment that easily aligns with the content
standards. Second, it transforms the lesson by creating a points-based planning board that urges the students to put more
work into the project. The third reason is Stormboard’s student centricity, being primarily a learner’s tool rather than a
teacher’s tool.
