Recorder Lesson 2

Objective:
Students will learn to play notes B, A and G on the recorder through modeling by the
teacher and echoing exercises.
Students will apply knowledge of the three notes while learning Song #1 from Recorder
Karate.
Students will demonstrate their knowledge of note reading by playing Song #1.
Materials:
Recorder, Rhythm Sheets, Recorder Karate Song #1
Lesson:
Pass out recorders
Breathing exercise- fog up a mirror
Go over the 4 positions we will hold our recorder in:
Rest
Ready
Chinger
play.
Teach how to play B, A and G.
