Personal statement
I am a passionate and conscientious worker, currently splitting my time between working as a theatre
technician at the Unity Theatre and working behind the bar at The Pilgrim Inn. Through my work at the
Unity I have been able to expand upon the skills I developed at Liverpool John Moores University,
becoming highly proficient in both lighting and sound. I have also taken a keen interest in stage and
production management, having the opportunity to stage manage and produce numerous shows. I have
worked multiple times with two theatre companies as producer, and I have also worked as a production
manager as a part of theatre festival, giving me experience of handling large budgets, project management
and scheduling, this has then allowed me to develop my skills of organisation and management to a high
standard. Outside of the theatre I have worked in both the hospitality and retail industries, giving me ample
experience of dealing with large numbers of customers and giving them the highest possible level of
service whilst also keeping up with the busy pace.

Work Experience

August 2017 - Present - Mooncup Theatre Working as a Production Manager.

My role within Mooncup theatre is one of a producer, organising all behind the scenes aspects for
numerous successful performances of the show A-Void and Dinner and show. A-void is a show with a non-
traditional setting, taking place mostly on a moving bus, organizing this show has on occasion been
challenging but greatly improved my organizational skills. In addition to this my communication skills were
often used when I was required to reach out to other spaces or organizations to arrange performances of
the show, and generate further revenue for the company. This show is arts council funded, and during the
application process I took the lead on ensuring the proposal put forward was as compelling as possible.
The budget which we received from the Arts Council is managed by me, ensuring all actors and members
of staff are paid for each show done.
