Employment History:
Cabin Crew, Thomson Airways (February 2013 - November 2013) Throughout my summer contract I was required to be consistently warm, happy and upbeat, ensuring customers felt comfortable onboard, and happy they had chosen Thomson as their holiday provider. The job started with a 5 week training programme, where we were tested on each module and I received 95-100% in every test. During our intense training I took it upon myself to video/photograph our journey and in our wings ceremony I presented the edited video which showed clips of everyone laughing and having fun throughout the training. We learnt an in-depth working knowledge of: - Safety and emergency procedures, - Security procedures and how to deal with potential threats - In-flight medical care - Aircraft specific details and differences - Dangerous goods - Fire fighting - Customer service and company policies - Bar and monies procedures - Personal flight times and limitations

In the job I was required to work at any hour of the day, flying from multiple bases, on multiple aircrafts (Boeing 757 & 737), to different countries in the world. Each day started with a pre-flight briefing, which required you to answer a safety question and in-flight medical question correctly before being allowed to fly. At this time we also decided which crew member would do what job, and often I was the bar person meaning I was in charge of the onboard computer systems, HMRC forms and declarations, and all money. Onboard we carried out drink, food, and duty-free services, where we were targeted by the company to reach a specific passenger spend per head target, which I often exceeded. Barmaid, Puddlers Arms (April 2011 - February 2013) In this job I worked alone and was solely responsible for the pub during my shift. I had to communicate with customer effectively and serve food and drinks. As the pub was usually visited by regular customers, I made the effort to learn their names, favourite drinks & food orders, which created a comfortable mutual respectful relationship with the customers. During my time I had to ensure everything was clean, tidy and safe. I ran speciality nights, such as karaoke, quizs, and pool competitions. It was my job to open the pub, lock it up, and correctly set/unset any security alarms. Throughout my shift I had to ensure the bar was sufficiently stocked, and replace any empty barrels for the pumps. At my time working in this pub I also made use of the old piano in the corner and taught myself to play many songs which entertained the customers. Youth Activity Worker, the Chill Out Centre (November 2010 - February 2013 (still currently volunteering in my spare time) The youth club is owned and operated by a charity called the Baglan Youth Forum, which had a youth committee that I was an active member of from the age of 13, taking on the role of vice chair and secretary. We held meetings every fortnight regarding issues in the local area, one of which was the need for a youth club. When it opened in 2010 I took on the role of Youth Activity Worker, where it was my responsibility to develop and run activities and workshops for the young people, such as arts and crafts, anti-bullying workshops, drug awareness workshops, photography activities etc, suitable for young people ages 9-25. I developed an excellent professional working relationship with the young people, offering them help with any problems they had, from homework, to home-life. I had the sole responsibility of opening and closing the youth club, ensuring everything was clean and tidy and all security alarms set. I had to ensure the tuck shop was fully stocked and that the money and banking procedures were correctly followed by staff and volunteers. I worked in a small team of support staff and volunteers, where I was responsible for delegating jobs for them to carry out to ensure a smooth and efficient running of the youth club. Throughout my time in the youth club I volunteered to do many training courses, including: - BSC Health & Safety Level 2 - YMCA college of Wales Youth Work Level 3 - First Aid in the work place - ASIST suicide prevention - Homophobia awareness and prevention - Health and hygiene - Youth forum development - Child protection I thoroughly enjoyed this role and as a result volunteer in this youth club when I can.

Outbound Sales Executive, Admiral (September 2011 - January 2012) Working in a telesales environment, I showed excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as sales skills. Constantly exceeded sales, quality and compliance targets, I was a team player, motivating everyone on my team to exceed targets and support each other. The role required me to constantly adapted to frequent changes in products, compliance, and customer profiles. Junior Enterprise Champion, Gower College Swansea (September 2010 - June 2011) I had this job whilst studying for my AS/A levels. I worked in small team to create events and workshops to promote entrepreneurial skills, and often took a leadership role - delegating other team members roles and responsibilities to ensure efficiency. I was the secretary for any meetings held; recording minutes and sending out information. I worked closely with the South Wales Chamber of Commerce to help promote business in the college and surrounding area.

Education:
Gower College Swansea (2009-2011) A-Levels (Grades A-C in Photography, Business Studies, Media Studies) AS-Level (Grade B in Drama and Theatre Studies) I was an active member and Chair of the Executive Student Council, arranging and running meetings every week with staff and students to discuss college issues, running college events and workshops. I created a good working relationship with the college principal to ensure issues were addressed straight from the top - cutting out the middle man. As the chair, I liaised with other student bodies in the college, such as the business enterprise groups, LGBT society, college newspaper, and college sports teams, to get a wide range of views and information on all issues concerning the students. St.Josephs Comprehensive School (2004-2009) GCSEs (Grades A-B in Maths, English, Science, Geography, RE, Resistant Materials, Textiles, Music) Throughout school I constantly received 100% attendance certificates, won Pupil of the Year award in 2006 and was a leading member of the school choir; assisting with the rehearsals of concerts. I was a member of the drama club; performing many leading roles in many plays including the role of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. I was centre midfield of the girls football team which won the 2009 South Wales girls football league title.
