WORK EXPERIENCE
Greggs The Bakers, Team Member May 2011 September 2011 I worked at my local Greggs store as a summer job this year and absolutely loved every minute. I helped to prepare the food, both sandwiches and pastries. In addition, I also served customers and worked alongside the management team to open and close the shop on a regular basis.

Starbucks, Barista November 2009 April 2011 I worked at Starbucks for a year whilst studying towards my A Levels. I made a number of close friends here and also learnt many new skills. I learnt how to use to coffee bars and also improved upon the customer service skills which I had acquired at McDonald's. During my time at Starbucks, I served a mystery shopper a drink and received 100% score for both my service and beverage quality. McDonalds, Crew Member November 2008 November 2009 Whilst studying towards my AS Levels, I worked in a fast-paced, stressful environment on weekends and holidays in McDonalds Restaurant, Silverlink. During my time there I worked on tills, serving customers directly. I often also work in the drive-thru, which is notably the busiest area of the store. In addition I took cleaning and stocking responsibilities both in front of and behind the counter. At McDonald's I acquired the skill of working as part of a large team in order to complete a task, for example up to 10 people would have to work hand in hand in the drive thru at its busiest time in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. As a result of this position, I am not a stranger working long hours.

INTERESTS, SKILLS & HOBBIES My main interests are the movies and music, I often go and see my favourite acts live and I avidly await the release of new films. I also have a great interest in languages and have been to France more than a dozen times, I am hoping to focus on this love as a career in the future. In addition, I am interested in the culture of Mauritius and have visited family there upon many occasions. I am hoping to merge my two passions of the services/hospitality business and languages in the future. I would like to form a career from hotel, restaurant work and hopefully progressing onto management in the future whilst still practising my language skills. I am a quick learner and able to pick up new skills with much ease. My love for foreign languages and other cultures help my interpersonal skills and I believe I have a great sense of empathy and understanding for others.
