Please consider this is a letter of recommendation for Ashley Frazee. I had the pleasure
of teaching Ashley in the fire explorer program at Healdsburg Fire Department during the 2016
and 2017 sessions. The basis of the program was to expose 14-21 year olds interested in the
fire service to the basics in firefighting safety, operations, and tactical procedures within the
industry.

I believe Ashley is a highly qualified candidate for the resident firefighter program.
Throughout the fire explorer program she expressed the willingness to learn and a passion for
the job. It didn’t matter if we were teaching hose, ladders, donning and doffing PPE, or EMS,
she always gave her best effort to learn the information and teach her fellow classmates. Ashley
also enjoyed volunteering her time for our many community service events including parades,
fundraisers, and local charity events.

Again, I hope you consider Ashley for the resident firefighter program. As professional
firefighter/paramedic, there is no doubt that I would enjoy Ashley’s company in the fire house or
alongside me in the field.
