Evidence: Writing my personal statement

To whoever it may concern,

My name is Estephania, I’m a young very outgoing girl. All my life I’ve had a strange
vocation for speaking in front of many people and being a very honorable leader.
However, I never thought it was something useful, until I reached third grade of
elementary school. An indescribable interest for politics reached me. Furthermore, there
was a teacher that noticed that politics was in its embryonic stage for me and although I
was very small he illustrated everything he knew about it so I would understand. Since
then my passion for politics never left.
Apart from politics, I also love social justice and writing. During my school years I’ve won
golden medals on local spelling bees and honorable mentions for my excellent
comprehensive reading. In other instances, I have done various courses of human rights
obtaining very useful knowledge that helps me be an ethical and morally correct co-
worker in the workspace and education environment. During middle school I would
portray roles such as mayor or education secretary and it was a very memorable
experience. I believe this is where I decided to pursue a degree in Political Science.
Many people, like myself, believe that this degree will be critical in the development of my
profession. Despite the fact that I am aware that pursuing my ideal career will be difficult,
I will find a way; I am a very perseverant person.
I decided to register for an English course at SENA because I believe it is a fantastic
approach to start my higher education journey by expanding my language knowledge
while also certifying my native English. Regardless of the fact that it was only a short
course, I fell in love with the platform and could highly suggest its instructors and their
professional ethics, which are extremely important to me. Since I am a very respectful
person and expect the same respect for me.
I am now a senior in high school and am studying for the ICFES EXAM. I have great
aspirations of receiving an excellent mark and being able to obtain a scholarship, as going
to college is my primary aim at this time. I am also enrolled in another short course in
digital marketing in order to broaden my work opportunities.
Last but not least, I am an enterprising person with the capacity to adapt to sudden
change and work under pressure in turn with excellent assertive communication and a

great sense of belonging. With great strengths and abilities in conflict resolution,
recognized for leadership and teamwork, also in order to generate an honest and
responsible profile and environment.
Finally, I hope that my qualifications, experience, and accomplishments qualify me for
admission to your university and enable me to pursue my dream of becoming a
