Summer 2018 Check-Out Policies 

We  are  excited  to  offer  our  Landstown  Middle  School  6​th  and  7​th  grade  students the opportunity to 
check-out  books  from  our library for the summer.  We realize that many of our students are unable 
to  visit  a  public  library  during  the  summer;  therefore,  this  will  give  them  access  to  many  books  to 
enjoy for summer reading. 

● Landstown 6​th​ and 7​th​ grade students will be allowed to check-out up to 12 books.  
● Students need to return the permission slip below from a parent stating that he/she 
understands his/her child is responsible for the books. 
● Students may visit the Landstown MS library from June 11​th​ – 15​th​ to check-out their summer 
books.  
● Students will be loaned a bag in which to take home their books. 
● A printed list of the books will be sent home in the bag. 
● The books and bag will be due back to the Landstown MS library no later than September 7​th​. 
● Students will not have access to the library for additional check-outs or returns during the 
summer.

 1. Go to Clever>Reference Databases>Destiny>Destiny Discover. 
2. Search the web-based catalog to help you find your books. 
3. Add your summer reading titles to the list below. Make sure to fill in all parts of the 
table. Remember, the call number has 2 parts. ​Examples: FIC COLLINS & 741.5 
KINNEY. 
4. You may check-out up to 12 books, but you may check-out fewer. 
5. Turn this list into Ms. Capozzi, Mrs. Lawson, or Mrs. Harrell in the library. We will fill your 
summer book bag and let you know when it is ready for pick up.
