RE: Speeding Mitigation Request No. 16A-0037

Mountainclimb Drive from Highland Hills Drive to Dry Creek Drive

Dear Mr. Jordan:

Funding for the installation of speed mitigation devices on Mountainclimb Drive was achieved
through your neighborhood’s participation in the public/private partnership opportunity outlined
in the Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) program’s guidelines and procedures. You are
receiving this letter as a contributor to the funds which made this public/private partnership
possible.

The Austin Transportation Department (ATD) proposed rubber speed cushions in 2016 with the
petition. Starting in 2018, ATD decided to hold all rubber cushion installations for the
consideration of different types of devices. Because rubber speed cushions will not be installed
on Mountainclimb Drive per the original plan, your individual contribution to the project will be
refunded to you within a few weeks.

However, due to ATD’s previous commitment to speed management, ATD is planning to install
asphalt speed cushions on Mountainclimb Drive. ATD will send a separate letter to you and
other residents showing the proposed locations of the asphalt speed cushions.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or do not receive the refund within a
few weeks.

Sincerely,

Mario Porras, E.I.T
