FUTURE PLANS

Musk aims for Tesla to launch a new compact SUV, perfect autonomous cars,
and expand its energy business — all by 2020.

Ramp up Model 3 production; the company had originally aimed to build

5,000 cars a week by December, but now the company foresees hitting that
production level by the end of the first quarter, so sometime around March.

Scale up energy business; Tesla is making a big push to become a full-fledged

energy company.

free Supercharging (super fast recharging)
and the network of charging stations is wide.
According to Musk, some 80% of Americans
are “covered” by the Supercharger network,
and with the completion of the interior
corridor, Model S drivers can now drive from
one coast to the other and back, for free,
using the fast-charging system (shown below)
