A. Preparation
Prayer and Classroom Management
B. Motivation
1. Ask the students “Have you ever faced a battle which you are not sure of winning?”
2. The students will predict the possible adventures of Lam-ang by filling in the concept web
on p.3
C. Presentation
1. The student will take turns reading the story of Lam-ang in chorus.
2. The students will read the definition and features of an epic.
3. The teacher will discuss Synonyms and Antonyms.
D. Application
1. After reading the story, the students will answer the comprehension questions in Brain
Squeeze on pp. 7-9. The teacher will explain the answers throughly.
2. The teacher will instruct them to fill in the web with the features of an epic.
3. The students will play a bingo about antonyms.
V. Generalization
The students will explain what the story is about and the different features of an epic.
The students will define and give examples of antonyms and synonyms.
VI. Evaluation
1. The students will fill in a story map.
2. The students will answer a work sheet about antonyms and synonyms.
