Session 1
10 minutes
 Write on the labels Paste image 1 on the board. Say the following sentences twice while pointing on the corresponding parts Parts of the house:

Say the sentences out loud again, encourage students to finish them with the corresponding word. This is

Show the pictures of image 2 and 3 one by one. Place them in the corresponding rooms of image 1. Ask
the following questions; elicit the corresponding answers, you can start the answer and let students
finish them. (Raise intonation in the words in bold).

Provide the pictures of images 2 and 3 to several students. Say the sentences below and ask students
with the corresponding pictures to go to the front and place them in the correct room of image 1.
Encourage the whole group to say the sentences out loud along with you.

Session 2
15 minutes
Play the song My family and me (https://goo.gl/cD51hf). Motivate students sing it along with you. Paste
image 1 on the board. Use the pictures of images 2 and 3, place them in different parts of the house and
elicit the sentences from the previous activity. Encourage students to say the sentences along with you.

10 minutes
Cut out and paste the die template in advance. Ask a student to throw the die and say out loud the part
of the house that corresponds to the part of the house shown on the side of the die facing upward.
Repeat the activity with other students. Make sure all the parts of the house are mentioned.

25 minutes
Provide worksheet 1. Ask students read out loud the names of the parts of the house from the bottom.
Ask students to cut out and paste them in the corresponding picture. Have students cut out the house
and paste it in their notebooks. Have students color the pictures.

10 minutes
Play the song My family and me (https://goo.gl/cD51hf). Paste image 1 on the board and invite students
to work on choral repetition. Provide worksheet 2 and have students paste it in their notebooks. Invite
them to draw the appropriate furniture (can be one drawing per room) in each room.

15 minutes
Ask a student to go to the front with his/her notebook. Motivate the student to show his/her worksheet,
point to each part of the house and say the corresponding sentence. Repeat the activity with other
students.

This is the bathroom. This is the dining room.


This is the bedroom. This is the kitchen.
This is the living room. This is the garage.

25 minutes
Encourage students to perform the following instructions (Perform the activity along with them): stand
up, go to the board, open the door, close the door, and sit down. Tell students that now they will work
with some daily activities they do at home. Paste image 4 on the board, point to each picture and say the
corresponding daily activities. Say the daily activities again but now perform them and encourage
students to do the same along with you.

Get up! Eat breakfast!


Take a shower! Go to school!
Get dressed! Do homework!
Brush my teeth! Go to bed!

Session 4
15 minutes
Display the pictures of image 4, say them out loud and ask students to work on choral repetition. Play
the game Simon says; say the daily activities and motivate students to perform the action. Say Simon
says: Brush your teeth. Repeat the activity with the other daily activities.

20 minutes
Write the daily activities on the board. Make students work on choral repetition. Tell students that they
will be the instructors for a minute. Ask a volunteer to go to the front, provide him/her the pictures of
image 4. He/she has to choose one picture and say out loud the instruction so that his/her partners
perform the action. Repeat the activity with other students.

Provide students with the pictures of image 4 and ask them to paste the pictures in their notebooks.
Write the instructions on the board and have students write them down below the corresponding
instruction. Ask students to color them in class or for homework.

image 5, point to each piece of furniture and elicit the correct words. Point to each furniture and say
them out loud: “bed, toilet, sink, table, chair, sofa, TV, car, flowers.”

Ask several students to go to the front, point to some pieces of furniture and say the corresponding
name out loud.

10 minutes
Play the video (https://goo.gl/9TDL4J); have students practice the parts of a house and some pieces of
furniture. Use the images given to make students match the corresponding furniture to their rooms on
the board.

25 minutes
Show the pictures of image 5 and ask students the question: What is it? Elicit the answer: It is a _______.
Repeat the activity with the other pictures.

15 minutes
Paste image 1 on the board. Show the pictures of image 5 and ask students the question: Where is the
bed? Elicit the answer: The bed is in the ____________. Repeat the activity with the other pictures. Place
the pictures in the corresponding rooms.

Where is the bed? The bed is in the bedroom.


Where is the toilet? The toilet is in the bathroom.
Where is the sink? The sink is in the bathroom.
Where is the table? The table is in the dining room.
Where are the chairs? The chairs are in the dining room.
Where is the sofa? The sofa is in the living room.

Where is the car? The car is in the garage.
Where are the flowers? The flowers are in the yard.

Provide worksheet 3. Ask students to find the words in the word search and circle them with different
colors. Make them say out loud the words the found. Ask them to paste the word search in their
notebooks.

10 minutes
Provide worksheet 4 and motivate students to circle the appropriate furniture for each room. Elicit
sentences like: The bed is in the bedroom, etc.

Session 7
10 minutes
Ask students to open their notebooks in the page they pasted the word search. Elicit the words they
circled and write them down on the board. Work on choral repetition.

Write the names of the parts of the house. Provide image 6. Ask students to copy the names from the
board and write them down in the correct room.

20 minutes
Point to the words bedroom and bathroom, circle the ending word “room” in both of them. Tell students
that “these words are similar because they have the same ending”. Elicit the other two words that have
the same words in common and circle the ending word in both of them. Ask them to write down the
words in their notebooks and circle the ending “room” in each word.

20 minutes
Point to the word bedroom, read it out loud and while counting the letters in a clear tone of voice,
encourage students to count them along with you. Ask them: How many letters does bedroom have?
Elicit the answer: Bedroom has seven letters. Repeat the activity with the other words. Elicit the words
with the same number of letters: bedroom and kitchen (7 letters); Living room and Dining room (10
letters).

Session 8
10 minutes
Write the parts of the house on the board. Elicit the words that are similar in spelling and underline
them. Then elicit the ones that are similar by the numbers of letters and circle them.

20 minutes
Write the following exercise on the board. Ask one student to go to the front to complete the first word.
Ask him/her to say the word out loud. Repeat the activity with the other words and students. Have the
whole group read the words out loud.

Display image 6. Motivate students to identify the parts of the house. Do the same with the furniture of
each room. Encourage them to say a sentence with each one: The bed is in the bedroom, etc.

found in each room. Make them work on choral repetition.

Ask the following questions and elicit the correct part of the house. Point to two rooms to make them

guide students to fill out the crossword puzzle.

Ask the following questions and elicit the correct parts of the house. Point to two rooms to make them
choose the correct one. Use mimic to make students understand the verbs.

1. Where do you cook? In the kitchen.


2. Where do you eat dinner? In the dining room.
3. Where do you sleep? In the bed room.
4. Where do you watch TV? In the living room.
5. Where do you brush your teeth? In the bathroom.

Provide image 7, ask the student to cut it out and paste it in their notebooks. Then provide image 8 and
invite students to cut out the pictures and paste them in the corresponding room of image 7. Monitor
students’ work to make sure they pasted the pictures are placed correctly. Have students color a piece of
furniture of each room.

10 minutes
Make teams of 3. Encourage students to show their house model to his/her partners of their team and
say the following sentences pointing to the corresponding part of the house.

Provide image 7, ask the student to cut it out and paste it in their notebooks. Then provide image 8 and
invite students to cut out the pictures and paste them in the corresponding room of image 7. Monitor
students to be sure they pasted the pictures are placed correctly. Invite students to color a piece of
furniture of each room.

10 minutes
Make teams of 3. Encourage students to show their house model to his/her partners of their team and
say the following sentences pointing to the corresponding part of the house.
