QUALIFICATION OF BOARD MEMBERS


Each member of the Board shall, at the time of his appointment:
1. Be a citizen and resident of the Philippines;
2. Be at least thirty years of age and of good moral character;
3. Be a graduate of civil engineering from a recognized and legally constituted school,
institute, college or university.
4. Be a registered civil engineer duly qualified to practice civil engineering in the
Philippines;
5. Have practiced civil engineering, with a certificate as such, for a period of not less than
ten years prior to his appointment.
6. Not be a member of the faculty of any school, institute, college, or university where civil
engineering course is taught, nor have a pecuniary interest in such institutions;
7. No former members of the faculty of any school, institute or university where civil
engineering is taught can become a member of the Board unless he had stopped teaching for
at least three consecutive years.

SCOPE OF CIVIL ENGINEERING LICENSURE EXAM


The three main subjects included are Mathematics, Surveying and Transportation which
comprises 35% of the exam, Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering with 30% and Structural
Engineering and Construction with 35%. To pass the examination you should obtain a general
weighted average of 75% with no rating belong 60% in all the subjects.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING LICENSURE EXAM APPLICATION

 BS IN CIVIL ENGINEERING

 NSO / PSA Birth Certificate

 NSO / PSA Marriage Contract (for married female applicants)

 Transcript of Records with scanned picture and Remarks "For Board Examination
Purposes"

 Valid NBI Clearance (First Timers & Repeaters)

 Two (2) Certificates of Good Moral Character from any 2 of the following:

o Barangay

o Church

o School

o Employer

Payment: P900.00 - complete
