Good day! I am Darryl John D.L. Pasamba – a 2nd year student from 2020-C. I am writing this letter to
express my inability to pay on time the amount due for the initial deposit of my tuition fees amounting to
PhP 42,081. I am very thankful that I’ve finished my first-year medical degree at UERMMMCi without
paying any fees because of the full entrance scholarship that the institution gave me. Unfortunately, I was
not able to make it to the cut-off to maintain my full scholarship for this coming AY 2017-2018. Thankfully,
my GWA was able to make it to the cut-off for partial academic scholarship.

I’ve talked with Dra. Lily Sia-Vargas and Dra. Jomi Alcon of the Committee on Scholarships and Academic
Honors to ask for an additional financial support on top of my partial academic scholarship. I have
explained to them why I desperately need to look for another scholarship program that could possibly
support the remaining 50% of my tuition fee. I was very glad that they approved on my request of financial
grant for this coming school year. However, it still depends on the sponsors on how much they can support
for my tuition fees. It was mentioned by Dra. Alcon that the most possible grant that I can get is 30%.

If ever I could get the abovementioned financial support, I only needed to settle 20% of my tuition fee for
the whole year which is amounting to around PhP 60,000. However, due to financial constraint last year,
I really couldn’t find money to even pay for my initial deposit.

May I humbly submit this letter to your good office serving as my promissory note to settle my account
within this school year. I am planning to work hard in my part-time job to pay for the remaining 20% of
my tuition fee. In view of this, I am respectfully asking the approval of your good office allowing me to
enroll in the first semester of this school year. I have no other recourse but to ask humbly your
consideration so that the Accounting Department will allow me to enroll with this University without
paying for the down payment. Rest assured that my outstanding obligation will be settled before the next
school year starts.

Rest assured that I will always set my best foot forward. I am hoping for your favorable approval on this
letter. Your approval will surely be a great help and a blessing from above.

In behalf of my family, we are thankful for your kindness and utmost understanding. Thank you very much!

Very sincerely yours,

Darryl John D.L. Pasamba
