1.1 Introduction
Mission Express is a British owned international and domestic distribution company with sixteen
years’ experience in providing flexible, professional and cost-effective delivery solutions. With
offices and warehouses at London Heathrow Airport, Mission Express is located at the heart of the
UK, European and Worldwide distribution network.
Mission Express Ltd was incorporated 6 October, 1998 and has grown over the past 18 years into a
purpose built cargo warehouse of over 6000sqft and employing 28 members of staff. Turnover for
the last financial year (to 31st December 2015) was £2.4 million net.
Mission Express provides the efficient and timely collection and delivery services expected by
today’s global companies. Above and beyond the service provision, the company strives to provide
excellent account management and value added services to its customers by being accessible and
approachable. At Mission Express, every customer is known by name and is highly valued.

1.5 Organisation Overview
With office and warehouse facilities at London Heathrow Airport, Mission Express is structured into
teams reporting to managers as follows:
Experienced account handlers look after the day-to-day needs of customers during extended hours
of 0800 hours to 2000 hours, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.
Outside these hours customers are supported by an on-duty representative, who can be reached
by contacting the normal office telephone number. Contact numbers for senior management in
case of emergencies are also provided.

1.7 The Environment
Mission Express takes its environmental responsibilities seriously. With its office being located
within London Heathrow Airport, Mission Express is guided by BAA (British Airports Authority) in
relation to waste disposal and environmental issues. In addition to compliance with relevant waste
legislation, airport-based waste producers are encouraged to adopt efficient waste management
practices and waste minimisation initiatives within their individual businesses.
Mission Express Ltd is committed to environmental control and reducing its carbon footprint

2.1 General
Mission Express works in close partnership with its customers to provide the optimum delivery
service which meets their needs, having due regard both to timely delivery and budget. We also
provide our customers with a personal level of service which, based on customer feedback, can be
hard to achieve in large integrated companies. Customers have the reassurance of knowing that
should they have an exceptional requirement, or an urgent query, or need for some reason to

3. On-Line Support Tools
Mission Express’ web site at MissionExpress.com gives customers access to online booking and
tracking services as well as full details of all available services.
3.1 Bookings
The online booking system enables customers to produce shipping papers within their own office.
Customers may also automatically e-mail the consignee to advise them of despatch. To simplify
the process for regularly shipped items and destinations, the system offers a database option such
that customers may add or edit regular consignee details rather than creating new details each
time.
Data can be captured from the customer in a number of ways: from paper consignment note
printed from a desktop PC, label generation or data file transfer.
Shipping papers can be produced on the customer’s behalf, based upon the address and reference
markings provided on the shipment itself.

3.2 Tracking
The on-line track-and-trace system enables customers to view status and delivery details on all
consignments. These details are automatically transferred from Mission Express’ partners around
the world, directly on to Mission Express’ computer system, for access by the customer.
Tracking Options: Tracking can be carried out by way of actual consignment number, date range,
destination city/town, internal reference or a view of despatches by date range.
E-mail Advice Facility: In providing a consignee e-mail advice facility, it is also possible for the
consignee to communicate directly with Mission Express, to resolve any local delivery issues, for
example, changed address, on-holiday etc. This enables delivery to be effected more quickly and
at overall lower cost.

3.3 Management Information
Management information reports containing consignment data in summary format by date range
can be accessed through Mission Express’ online system and either displayed or downloaded in
Excel spreadsheet format. Lead time to show all relevant information is 7 days.

4.1 General
Mission Express offers “Your Company” a ratings structure that represents value for money for
distribution services on all modes of transport and all levels of priority. This ratings structure takes
into account the level of professional resource and flexibility of service which Mission Express
expects to provide its valued customers.

The rates shown are net of VAT and where applicable the current combined carrier security and
fuel levies (FSS).
Invoices are issued in UK £ Sterling on a 7 day billing cycle.
