BOILER FEED WATER PUMP - 1

BFP #1 shall be switched on manually after switching on Aux. Lube


oil pump in auto/Manual:

Start Permissive (VFC Aux. lube oil pump #1)


1. Lube oil temp. Downstream of heat exchanger not high.
a. TE-27A (<55 °C)
b. TE-29A (<65 °C)
c. TE-33A (<110°C)
d. TE-35A (<75°C)
2. Bearing temp. Not high (TE-60A, TE-59A, TE-58A, TE-57A, TE-
56A, TE-42A) <90°C.
3. DCS mode selected.
4. Ready to start
5. Local stop not active.
6. CCW discharge pressure (PT-982)>3.5Kg/cm2.

NOTE: For Lube Oil Temperatures and VFC Lube oil pump-1 Bearing
temperatures refer Dovoith coupler document.

Manual Start Mode
1. Start From DCS.

and forced to Auto selection shall made when BFP#1 trip/OFF shall be

Auto Start Mode


1. Lube oil pressure (PT-19.2A) <1.1bar when BFP#1 is running.

Stop Interlocks (VFC Aux. lube oil pump#1)


1. Lube oil pressure (PT-19.2A)>2.9bar when BFP#1 is running.
2. Trip FB from MCC.
3. DCS stop.

Manual Start
1) Start From DCS.

Stop Interlocks (BFP#1)

BFP #1 shall be stopped automatically or manually when in remote


mode of operation, the conditions are:

1) Any Motor Winding Temperature are HI HI(R, Y, B) >120Deg.


2) Any Motor bearing Temperature are HI HI (DE, NDE) >80Deg.
3) Any Pump Bearing Temperature (NDE, DE, THRUST 1 & 2) are
High High (>90deg).
4) Any Vibrations motor or pump (VAHH-901, 902, 903, 904, 905,
906, 907 and 908) are High High.
5) Dearator Water Level (LALL-916) is Low Low.
6) BFP #1 Pump Suction valve is closed (ZSC-3301).
7) BFP #1 Pump Suction Differential Pressure Switch (DPS-901) is
high.
8) Any VFC Coupling Bearing temperatures (TE-60.1A, 59.1A,
58.1A, 57.1A, 56.1A, 40A, 41A and 44A) high high. (>95 deg.)
9) Any VFC lube Oil Temperature are high high
a. TE-27.1A& 27.2A (60 Deg.)
b. TE-29.1A&29.2A (70Deg.)
c. TE-33.1A&33.2A (130Deg.)
d. TE-35.1A & 35.2A (85Deg.)

CONDENSATE EXTRACTION PUMP -1

Condensate Extraction Pump-1 shall be switched on from DCS


either in Manual mode or Auto mode, which can be selected by
using soft selector switch.

Starting Per missives (CEP#1)

1) Hot well level (LALL-912) not low low.


2) Condensate Extraction Pump-1 Suction Valve (ZSO-902) is in
open position.
3) CEP Pump-1 in remote (DCS) mode.
4) CEP Pump-1 not in trip condition from VFD.
5) Ready to start permissive from VFD.
6) Local stop not active.
7) Discharge MOV (1023) in close FB.

If Start Per missives are OK.


Manual Start mode
1. Start from DCS

Auto Start mode


1. CEP-2 trip FB from VFD.
2. Discharge header pressure low(PS-941)
3. Hot well level high (LAH-912)

Stop Interlocks (CEP-1)

1) Hot well level (LALL-912) low low.


2) CEP #1 Motor any Winding (R, Y and B) temperature>120 Deg.
3) CEP#1 Motor any Bearing (NDE and DE) temperatures>90 Deg.

2. Discharge header pressure low(PS-941)
3. Hot well level high (LAH-912)

Stop Interlocks (CEP-2)

1) Hot well level (LALL-912) low low.


2) CEP #2 Motor any Winding (R, Y and B) temperature>120 Deg.
3) CEP #2 Motor any Bearing (NDE and DE) temperatures>90 Deg.

DIRTY OIL PUMP


DOP shall be switched on manually, only when the following
Conditions are satisfied:
Starting Per missives (DOP)-Manual mode

1. Dirty oil tank level (LAL-901) not low.


2. DOP in remote mode.

the controller. When the LUBE OIL HEADER PRESSURE comes above
the set point, controller will open PRV-910 to maintain the pressure.

EMERGENCY TRIP SYSTEM (ETS) and Automatic


Turbine tester:

Turbine tripping has been derived in ETS panel through


independent two PLC’s all critical signals are connected to each PLC in
ETS panel to trip Turbine immediately when any abnormal conditions
are happened and further it has been derived for any fault to display in
DCS as SOE inputs and as well as annunciation which provide in ETS
panel.
1.There are three levels of voltages are provided for channel-1 and
channel-2,230V AC,220V DC and 24V DC the healthiness of these
voltages will be monitored on ETS panel.
