IRONKIDS
Hi, I’m Ben. My sister Brittany is an “Ironkid”.
Ironkids is a sports competition for children in the U.S. Can you
swim? Can you run fast? Can you ride a bike? This competition
is for you!
The Ironkids competition is for children and teenagers aged six
to fifteen. Children aged six to eight are juniors, children aged
nine to eleven are intermediates, and teenagers aged twelve to
fifteen are seniors.
Brittany is thirteen and she’s a senior. Senior Ironkids can swim
270 meters, they can ride a bike thirteen kilometers, and they
can run three kilometers. That’s a lot! The competitions are on
Sunday mornings – the seniors are in the water at seven o’clock.
At seven o’clock on Sunday morning, I’m in bed! I can’t swim
and I can’t run fast. But I can play the guitar. Brittany can’t do
that! My music is cool. In fact, it’s awesome!
Bye!
Ben
