 Candidates are required to give their answer in their own words as far as practicable.
 Attempt all the questions.
 Assume necessary data.

1) Define Specification and mention it’s Purposes.

Prepare a preliminary estimate of a four storeyed building having total carpet area 1000 Sq.m for
obtaining the administrative approval of government given the following data.It is assumed that 30% of
built up area will be taken up by corridors, verandahs and staircases etc and 10 percent of built up area
will be occupied by walls
i. Plinth area rate Rs. 18000 per meter square
ii. Extra Charge for electric installation 10% of Building cost
iii. Extra charge for water supply and sanitary installation 5% of Building cost
iv. Contingencies 5%
v. Supervision charge 2%
Estimate the cost of Building. [4+8]

2) Prepare an analysis of rate for brick work in (1:3) cement mortar in superstructure per m3 [6]

Estimate the Quantity of earthwork of a portion of a road from the following data:

3) Estimate the quantities of the following items of work from the accompanying building drawing
