Tender Documentation
1. At the time of tendering, the Fire Alarm contractor shall fully and accurately describe the
proposed fire detection and alarm system and its design concepts.
2. The Fire Alarm contractor shall provide a complete set of layout drawings and specifications
describing all aspects of the system, including:
a. Detailed component and equipment list with model and manufacturers part numbers.
b. Product sheets for each item of equipment.
c. Theory of Operations with description of system functions.
d. Written confirmation that a manufacturer trained representative will:
Provide on-site supervision during system installation
Perform all final testing and commissioning of the installed system
Instruct operating personnel on all system operations.
3. The Fire Alarm contractor shall provide a schedule showing the times required to design, build,
install, test and commission the system. The schedule shall also include any special
requirements, such as additional training for operating personnel, etc.
Contract Documentation
1. The Fire Alarm contractor shall provide a complete set of documents describing the system and
its design concepts, installation, final testing, commissioning, and required operating and
maintenance procedures.

4. The Fire Alarm contractor shall provide a complete set of system operating and maintenance
manuals for the following:
a. Fire controller
b. Detectors
c. Call points
d. Sounders
e. Ancillary devices
f. Remote monitoring link (if this option is being provided).
5. The date for submission of all documentation shall be in accordance with the schedule provided
by the Fire Alarm contractor and as agreed with the client specifications.
