 BIO MAJESTY System Setup
<Caution>
・ Please install the BM system on the PC specified by JEOL.
・ Do not install any other applications on the PC with BM system. If there is any
pre-installed Virus Protection/Security program on the PC, please uninstall it.
・ Settings in Windows 7 (style, network etc.) for BM system must not be changed.
・ The PC with BM system must not be connected to any network other than the
analyzer.
・ BM system does not support Windows Vista.
・ Keep the CD for Windows 7 that comes as an attachment of the PC with the
factory shipment. You may need this CD in Section 1-3 “Setup FTP”.

1. Installing Windows-7
In this chapter, installation procedure for Windows-7 (hereafter ‘Win7’) is described.

Some PC has Win7 pre-installed and some does not, depending on the manufacturer. In both cases,
the settings and inputs are the same, although there are some differences in the installation procedure.
The procedure described in this installation manual is for the PC that has Win7 pre-installed.

1‐1. Preparation before installation

・Connect the keyboard, mouse, display and power cable to the PC.
・Settings for SleepITF2 must be configured after OS is set up.

1‐2. Installation Steps 1 (for PC with pre-installed Win7)

※ Windows7 の初期設定画面は PC のメーカー/モデルによって異なります。
以下の要領と異なる場合は 画面の指示に従って下さい。
'BMUSER'アカウントの作成/変更については 1.3.6 章にも記載されています。

1) Turn on the power. Software license screen is displayed.

Press any key. (e.g. ‘Enter’ key)
The software is rebooted.

2) Windows7 セットアップに従ってセットアップして下さい。

3) PC 名称は下記に従って入力して下さい。.
PC Name ： BMOP
PC description ： BM Series Operation Console

4) Enter a password for Supervisor.

UserName ‘BMUSER’
UserPassword ‘bmuser’

セットアップ完了です。

 1‐3. Installation Steps 2 (Advanced Settings)
After all the steps in Installation Steps 1 are completed, Win7 will be started up.
Click ‘BMUSER’ in the log-in window to log in

1.3.1. Windows のテーマ設定

デスクトップ画面を右クリックし、Personalize を選択してください。

[Basic and High Contrast Themes] の [Windows Classic] をクリックしてください。背景やウィンドウの色

が自動的に変更されます。(A 参照)

 1.3.2. 電源設定
スクリーンセーバの設定ボタン(1.3.1 B 参照)をクリックし、電源管理の変更をクリックして下さい。

既存の電源プランを編集します。[High Performance]ラジオボタンを選択し、右にある[Change plan settings]をクリッ

クして下さい。
注) [High Performance] は 図では、上から３番目のラジオボタンに位置していますが、
配置が異なる場合があります。(PC のモデルによって[Preferred plans]と[additional plans]の内容が異なります。)
下記の項目を変更して下さい。
■ディスプレイの電源を切る：20 分
■コンピューターをスリープ状態にする：なし
上記設定後、同画面の[Change advanced power settings]を選択してください。

設定を下記画面に従って変更して下さい。
設定が変更できない場合は盾アイコン をクリックして下さい。

設定変更後[OK]をクリックし Edit plan Settings にて[Save changes]をクリックし、変更を確定して下さい。

上記手順で電源設定は終了です。電源オプション画面を[X]閉じ、Screen Saver Settings で OK をクリック

し、設定は完了です。

 1.3.3. 解像度の設定
デスクトップ画面を右クリックし、Screen resolution を選択してください。

解像度は 1280*1024 に変更して下さい。

解像度設定後[Advanced settings]を行います。A をクリックして下さい。

モニタータグを選択し Screen refresh rate が 75Hertz になっており且つ、Colors が 32 ビットになって
いるかを確認してください。設定が誤っている場合は変更して下さい。

設定後は詳細設定画面、画面の解像度設定で OK をクリックし、設定を完了してください。

1.3.4. コントロールパネルの表示形式を変更する
Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’ .
右上の [View by:] (表示形式)を [Category] に設定します。

1.3.5. パスワードの有効期間を無期限にする
Select ‘Control Panel’ -> ‘System and Security’ -> ’Administrative Tools’.

Select ->‘Local Security Policy’.

 左側のペインのツリーから ‘Security Settings’ -> ‘Account Policies’ -> ’Password Policy’を選択し、
右側のペインに表示された'Maximum Password age'をダブルクリックします。

パスワード有効日数に 0 日( "0"=無期限 ) を入力して OK ボタンをクリックします。

1.3.6. Set up User Account.

Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’.
Select ‘User Accounts and Family Safety’->’Add or remove user accounts’ in the Control Panel’
Select ‘Create a new account.

上記を参考にして A002 アカウントを作成します。

A002 アカウントの詳細情報を設定します。A002 を選択して下さい。

A002 のパスワードを設定して下さい。

A002 の設定は終了です。
[Manage another account]をクリックし、元の画面にもどります。BMUSER アカウントの作成、
または BMUSER アカウントのパスワードが設定されていない場合は A002 アカウントを作成し
た同様の要領で BMUSER アカウントの設定を行ってください。
次に BMUSER アカウントの詳細設定を編集します。Go to the main User Accounts page を選択
して下さい。

[Change User Account Control settings]をクリックして下さい。

UAC(UserAccountControl)は 4 段階に設定することができますが、BM システムでは下記の様

に設定して下さい。

[Yes]を選択すると UAC
設定を変更し[OK]をクリックすると、下記のポップアップが出現します。
の設定は反映されます。[X]で画面を閉じてください。

1.3.7. Change the Task Bar and Start Menu.
Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’->’Appearance and Personalization’->
'Taskbar and Start Menu' .

下記と同様の設定に変更し[OK]をクリックして下さい。

1.3.8. Set up the Network Settings.
Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’->Network and Internet->Network and Sharing Center.
[Change adapter settings]をクリックしてネットワーク接続画面で[Local Area Connection]を
右クリックし[Properties]を選択して下さい。

下図の通りにチェックを外して下さい(QoS,TCO/Ipv6,Link-Layer)。

[Internet Protocol Version 4]を選択し、[Properties]をクリックして下さい。

デフォルト ゲートウェイに値が入力されている場合は削除して下さい。
設定項目に下記を入力して下さい。

Display [TCP/IP Advanced Setting] window in [Advanced]. Select ‘DNS’ tag and uncheck
“Register this connection’s addresses in DNS” and click [OK

ネットワークの設定は終了です。TCP/IP Properties で OK、Local Area Connection Properties では

Close をクリックし、Network Connections を[X]閉じてください。

1.3.9. Set up FTP Settings.
Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’.
Select ‘Programs’->‘Programs and Features’ in the Control Panel’ and select [Turn Windows
features on or off].

下図のように"Internet Information Services"と"Telnet Client"の項目をチェックし、

OK をクリックして下さい。

ポップアップが消えたら、Press [x] to exit ‘Program and Features’.

Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’.
Select ‘System and Security’->’Administrative Tools’->Internet Information Service(IIS)Manager.
下図の様に BMOP を右クリックし[Add FTP Site…]を選択して下さい

FTP サイト名に FTP Site と入力して下さい。コンテンツディレクトリ A をクリックし Local Disk

(C:) を選択し[Make New Folder]をクリックすると[New Folder]が作成されます。フォルダ名を
[FTP]に変更して[OK]を選択してください。操作を終了したら[Next]をクリック。

下図と同様の設定にしてください。設定後[Next]をクリック。

下図と同様の設定にしてください。設定後[Finish]をクリック。

FTP の設定はこれで終了です。IIS の設定画面を[X]閉じてください。

1.3.10. Set up Services
Select [Start Menu] -> [Control Panel].
Select [System and Security]->[Administrative Tools]->[Services]

Please disable DNS, DHCP and Automatic Updates as follows:

Click ‘DHCP Client’ to open the properties. Configure the settings as shown below.
Click [OK] to complete.
・ Select ‘Disabled’ for Startup type.
・ Select ‘Stop’ for Service Status. Service Status becomes ‘Stopped’.

サービスの一覧に'DNS Client'や'Automatic Update' がもし存在すれば上記の'DHCP Client'と

同じ手順を行なってください。
Switch the setting from Automatic to Manual for ‘Smart Card’, ‘Smart Card helper’ and ‘Help
and Support’ after stopping the services.
If there is not “Services” on your computer, move on to the next step and complete the
procedure.

1.3.11. Set up Work Group
Select [Start Menu] -> [Control Panel].
Access [System and Security] ->[System]-Computer name,domain,and workgroup settings
の[Change settings]を開いてください。

Select [Computer Name] tag. Enter ‘BM Operation Console’ for Computer description.
Then click ‘Change’ button to change work group.
Enter ‘BMUSER’ for work group and click [OK] to exit.

When the dialog box prompts you ‘You must restart your computer to apply these changes’,
click [OK] button.

Click [Apply] button in System Properties.

When prompted ‘You must restart your computer to apply these changes’, click ‘Restart Now’
button. The software is rebooted. Wait for a while.

1.3.12. Automatic Login
Automatic Login Setting is configured using Registry Editor.
スタートボタンを押し、’Search programs and files’ に[regedit]と入力し、検索結果の regedit
をダブルクリックして下さい。

Add the following keys using [Edit], [New], and [String Value] from the menu in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / WindowsNT / CurrentVersion / Winlogon
If there is already registered key, please set up the value.
Select a value -> Right-click. -> Modify-> Enter the value data -> OK.

When setup is completed, exit the Registry Editor and reboot the PC.

1.3.13. Set up Securities
Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’.
Access ‘System and Security’ to open ‘Windows FireWall’.
[Turn Windows Firewall on or off]をクリック。

下図と同様に設定して下さい。OK を押してください。

 [Advanced settings]をクリックして下さい。
Windows Firewall Properties をクリックし[Domain Profile]タブで Firewall state を Off にして下さい。

OK をクリックし画面を[X]を押して閉じてください。
次に[Action Center]をクリックし[Change Action Center settings]をクリック。

次の図に示すように、すべてのチェックをはずし、OK をクリックしてください。設定は終了で
す[x]で画面を閉じてください。

2. Settings related to the system
2‐1. Performance Settings
1. Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’. Access ‘System and Security’ to open ‘System’.
[Advanced System settings]をクリックして下さい。

2.[Advanced]タグを選択し[Performance]の[Settings…]をクリックして下さい。
下記に従ってパフォーマンスオプションの設定を行ってください。
◆Select ‘Visual Effects’ tag and select ‘Adjust for best performance’ button, then click [OK].
◆Select ‘Advanced’ tag and [Background services]を選択して下さい。
◆ [OK]をクリック。
◆
3. Open ‘Start and Recovery’ settings in ‘Advanced’ tag.
図に従って設定し[OK]をクリックして下さい。

4. [System Protection]にタグを変更し、[Configure]をクリックし、下記に従ってください。
下図の様に[Turn off system protection]を選択して下さい。

5. In ‘Remote’ tag で下記の設定に従って設定して下さい。.

下図の様に[Remote Assistance]のチェックをして OK をクリックしてください。

6. When all settings are configured, click [OK] button to complete.

2‐2. Disable Automatic Time Synchronizing
Open ‘Control Panel’ -> ‘Clock,Language,and Region ->Open ‘Date and Time’.
[Date and Time]のタグで日付と時間を確認し、誤っている場合は下図に従って調整。

‘Internet Time’タグ ->[Change settings…]をクリックし下図に従って設定して下さい。

Uncheck [Synchronize with an Internet time server].OKをクリックし画面を閉じてください。

2‐3. Tidying up Desk Top

Sort and tidy up the icons on the desk top.

 Select unused icons and drag them to the “Recycle Bin”.

The icons that should remain on the desk top are “Computer”, “Network” and “Recycle Bin”.

2‐4. Deleting unnecessary software programs

1. Open ‘Start’ -> ‘Control Panel’ -> ‘Program‘ -> ‘Uninstall a Program‘.
2. Please delete all the installed programs other than Driver.
※ BM オペコンの動作に影響を及ぼす恐れがあるため、不必要なプログラムを
削除して下さい。
3. Open ‘Start’ -> ‘Control Panel’.
4. コントロールパネル右上の [View by :]を[Category]から[Small icons]に変更します。
5. コントロールパネルの一覧の中に‘Program Updates’がもし存在したら、
ダブルクリックして下図のようにチェックボックスをはずして[OK]ボタンを押します。
※ ‘Program Updates‘ は Install Shield を用いてプログラムをインストールした際に
自動で導入されることがあります。バックグラウンドでインターネット上に
アップデート情報を問い合わせる動作が BM オペコンに影響を及ぼす恐れがあるため、
機能を OFF にします。
6. コントロールパネル右上の [View by :]を[Category]に変更します。

Uncheck the box.

2‐5. Settings for Mouse Pointer

1. Select ‘Control Panel’ ->’Hardware and Sound’->’Devices and Printers’- ‘Mouse’.
Select ‘Pointers’ tag.

2. Set ‘Scheme’ to “Windows Standard (extra large) (system scheme’”,

then Click [OK] to complete the setting.

2‐6. Set up Explorer

1. Select ‘Start’-> ‘Control Panel’ -> ‘Appearance and Personalization’-> ‘Folder Options’.
Select ‘View’ tag and set it up as shown below. Click [OK] to finish.

3. System Program Installation
BM series has a CD-ROM attachment for system program installation when they are shipped.(Hereafter
‘System Disk’.)
This System Disk has all the programs, other than OS programs, required for operating the system as
well as the system parameters that are unique to every system when it is adjusted at the manufacturer.
Since these parameters are unique to each system, the System Disk attached to the system must be
installed before starting system operations.

3‐1. Contents of the System Disk

Attached System Disk has the following folders:
1) BMoooo_Vx.xx-yy(YYYYMMDD)_SETUP:Complete Set of BM System Programs Installation Files
This is a complete set of necessary files for New Install.
This also includes all the factory default values (and unique settings of each system).
This CD can only be applied to the system that is shipped with the CD.

2) BMaaaa_Vx.xx-yy(YYYYMMDD)_VERUP:Set to update BM System Programs

This is a set of files to update the software version that is already installed on the system.
This does not contain User Defined settings (e.g. Analytical Parameters).
This CD can be used to update other systems.

Note:
oooo indicates the system series name.
x.xx indicates the version no.
yy indicates the revision no.

 3‐2. Installing the programs with Installation Wizard
The following steps are based on BM 6010/C.

1. Run SETUP.EXE in the System Disk. (If AUTORUN is set, SETUP.EXE will be automatically run after
inserting the CD.)）

2. “JcaSetup” window is displayed.

3. Select ‘New Installation’ for New Install.

Select ‘Update’ for updating the software.
After selecting the setup type, click ‘Install’ button by the mouse.
Click ‘Cancel’ if you do not want to proceed installation.

4. When installation is started, the following dialog box is displayed.

File Backup, Main Program Installation, System Library Installation and System Setting Change are
performed.
When ‘Update’ is selected, the system parameters are updated.

5. After installation, the screen returns to the following window.
Click ‘Exit’ button by the mouse.

6. If there is a BM system that is already installed, automatic backup will be executed.

If a backup file already exists, it will be overwritten by the new backup file.

3‐3. Environmental Settings for BM System

3.3.1. ActiveX Control
Execute C:/BIOMJ/TOOLS/SSREGIST/JcaRegX.exe, and SS3D30.OCX will be registered

4. Set up for SleepITF2
4‐1. Preparation
PC をシャットダウンさせます。
PC の PCI バスに SleepITF2 board を取り付けます。
PC を起動させます。
起動後、画面右下に「Device driver software was not successfully installed」のメッセージが
表示される場合がありますが、これは無視します。

4‐2. Device Driver Installation

Select ‘Start Menu’ -> ‘Control Panel’ -> 'Hardware and Sound' .

Select 'Device Manager'.

[Device Manager]画面のツリーの中から、'Other PCI Bridge Device' をダブルクリックします。

[Other PCI Bridge Device Properties] 画面が表示されるので、

[Update Driver...] ボタンをダブルクリックします。

[Update Driver Software - Other PCI Bridge Device] 画面が表示されるので、

下の選択肢 [Browse my computer for driver software] を選択します。

[Browse...] ボタンをクリックします。

フォルダ選択画面にて以下のフォルダを指定して[OK]ボタンをクリックします。
C:¥BIOMJ¥DRIVERS¥PCIDRV¥WIN2KXP

[Next]ボタンをクリックすると、デバイスドライバーのインストールが始まります。
インストールには数分かかります。

インストールの途中で [Windows Security]の警告画面が表示された場合は、

下の選択肢 [Install this driver software anyway] を選択して下さい。

インストール完了画面が表示されたら[Close]ボタンを押して閉じます。

[WRTDev WinRT WDM Device Properties] 画面にて [Device Status] が

' This device is working properly. ' と表示されていることを確認し、[Close]ボタンをクリックします。

Windows のエクスプローラにて以下のフォルダを開きます。
C:¥BIOMJ¥DRIVERS¥PCIDRV

"SETUPXPE.BAT"をダブルクリックして実行します。
コマンドプロンプト(黒い画面)に
' Please select the board type.(1:SLEEP ITF 2:SLEEP ITF2) > '
と表示されるので、数字の 2 を入力し、ENTER キーを押下します。

 4‐3. Testing applications
テストアプリケーションを使用して SleepITF2 ボードの動作確認を実施します。
Windows のエクスプローラにて C:¥BIOMJ¥TOOL¥SleepItfTest.exe をダブルクリックして
以下の画面を起動させます。

以下の動作を確認して下さい。

1 [Continuation]ボタンを押す 音が鳴ること
2 [Buzzer Off]ボタンを押す 音が止まること
3 [Interval]ボタンを押す 音が鳴ること
4 [Buzzer Off]ボタンを押す 音が止まること
5 [0 second later] に 5 を入力し、 ５ 秒 後 に [Status] が [ON] か ら
[Power supply off] ボタンを押す [OFF]に変わること
6 [Power supply on] ボタンを押す ５ 秒 後 に [Status] が [OFF] か ら
[ON]に変わること

Check the Buzzer Volume and Power Supply ON/OFF.

The buzzer volume in Sleep ITF2 is set to low, but buzzer volume here is set for testing purposes.
Configure the actual buzzer volume in a system parameter.

Finish the test program and start up BM.

Configure the buzzer volume in the system parameter.
