8.00 am • Gathering of participant (organizer & volunteer)

• President of surau Al-Amin, Ustaz Mohd Sabirin give a few words.
• Short briefing by the organizer to distribute work among the participant.
• Preparation of tools and equipment.
8.30 am • Participants go to their workstation.
• Started work such as:
I. Sweeping the floor.
II. Clean the fan.
III. Clean the wudhu’ area.
IV. Clean the window and sliding door.
V. Sweep the dust on the ceiling.

11.00 am • Finished the works and activities.

• Clean up the tools and equipment.

11.30 am • Participants gather around for the last session.

• Last words from Ustaz Mohd Sabirin and appreciation.

2.0 Impact and sustainability of CSR Program

In today society cleanliness is the aspect that most of the people take easy. Our
religion also emphasized about cleanliness. Cleanliness is not for Muslim only, it was
practice for all religion. So, in order to support and show awareness to the society about the
importance of the cleanliness, our teams choose to do our corporate social responsibility at
Surau Al-Amin Desa Alam, Seksyen U12 Shah Alam. The reason we choose this place,
because it is a place we all Muslim society gather every time we pray. So, it was a first place
that we thing should be clean in the view of the society. Taking care of the mosques and
tidying the furniture inside them is something that is praiseworthy and encouraged. By
conducting this activity, we can give them maybe a little awareness about the cleanliness
especially at a place of worship like Mosque or Surau. We have conducted a cleaning process
to the entire surau. Some of the activity that we do was cleaning all the fan at surau A-Amin,
washed Kolah, wipe the glass sliding door and window, mopped the floor and other things
around the surau.

The impact of this activity is, it make people more happy and comfortable to fulfill
their responsibility here. It is also to give a hand in helping the surau committee member to
clean and take care for this place. When the Muslim prayer place is clean, it will remove the
bad thinking of other people about religion. It also will increase their respect to us. Besides
that, It will be a starting point where people around realize about the importance to take care
about the cleanliness that not just in surau but in the entire place of the earth. If this kind of
activity always been conduct like once a month, people will get use to the situation of clean
environment, and it will be their habit to keep their surrounding clean. Clean surrounding will
drive to a good health. Our activity in this place such as cleaning the fan from the dust will
give people a clean air and without realize will prevent them to get disease from dust such as
asthma and throat disease. Besides have a clean environment, this program also makes a
good relation between us and the resident at the place. We have a chance to talk with the
eldest and know about the community of this place.

In order to marketing our program, we have post the promotion to join our activity of
the CSR at Surau Al-Amin in our media social like Facebook and our Group Whatsapp. By
doing this, some of the people that have free time on that daytime have joined us to help in
our CSR program. For the rest of people that was not able to join our program during that

time, maybe they can join it next time. At least they get some info about the activities that we
had conduct and we hope that by seeing that advertisement that we post, it will increase their
awareness about cleanliness and their responsibility toward the society. It also make people
realize that besides doing their essential task, they also need to contribute some of their
knowledge and energy toward society.

Although this program is a small program, we hope that our effort in doing this
activity will be the help our world becoming a healthy world without pollution. With the
awareness in doing welfare and helping people to do a right thing, we can together create a
world that it safe from disease that caused from the dirty environment.

3.0 Public awareness and promotion on the program

As we do our program, there are volunteers join the program and help us make the
program success. It shows that cleanliness is matter to everyone and it is an honor to be part
of help. There was a bunch of people doing their activity during our program, which a
reading Al-Quran classes and there were youngster at the program. They also join us to clean
the surau and at least we can deliver the message to them that our religious place like surau
need to keep clean so that people would be more comfortable to do their Ibadah. The program
was also encouraged people to be more particular about cleanliness and improve their selves
towards better and considerable person. The program also has given impact to us that even a
small building like surau al-amin, it requires teamwork and external help to clean. It was wise
for us to do the cleaning at the surau because it’s been awhile since the last cleaning activities
they done at Surau Al-Amin. With our little help, it managed to have better and cleaner space
to do Ibadah.

Through this program, it came to us and other volunteers that how much a little cost
to do the cleaning because there were no large capital spend for the cleaning purpose. It was a
good experience to the program and we had positive vibes during the activities. Through this
program also, it empower our relationship between Muslim and non-Muslim bonding without
any borders. It shows that with a little work like this would benefits us more than we
expected. We had our session with the residents in the surau area, which it improve our
relationship between the oldies and youngster. However, cleaning surau or any religious
places need to do more often to maintain the cleanliness and public awareness about the
cleanliness need to be more often.

The promotion on the program, we did spread the poster of our program to all social
media medium, such as Facebook and group Whatapps. The reasons we spread the posters is
to encourage people to join our activities. We found that social media is best medium to
spread the good news since it is cheaper and almost everyone has social media account. Our
promotion of the program mainly targeted to students in UiTM Shah Alam and Shah Alam
residents especially residents that live nearby to Surau Al-Amin.

 We chose to do posters instead of video because it is easy to spread and to deliver the
message. The poster consists of the title of the program and the venue. It is decorated with
message about cleaning the surau. The promotion is also to encourage people to come and
help for the residents to have clean place to do their Ibadah.
