workshop.
Experiment -1

AIM: Create a logo using CorelDraw.

Steps:-

1. Open Corel Draw and create simple petal shape for

making flower, actually this petal shape works great
here, let’s see that fun how does it works. Take ellipse
tool (F7 is the Shortcut Command) and draw small circle
as shown the below image, and after press Ctrl+Q, it’s
curve the ellipse and allows to edit as we like, just now
change the curve line something shown below steps
images.

2. Now Double click on the shape to show the rotation

selection and drag the center of the shape at the bottom.

3. Now go to Arrange> Transformation>Rotate,

here select rotate tab, keep the angle value 10 which is
divide 360 degree rotation. Now click apply to duplicate
and then you can see after clicking it will duplicate at 10
degree angle, after your image seem to be as shown the
below images.
make sure its duplicated complete rotation or not, once
you feel better then go ahead to selecting all.

4. Now select all petals and fill any of your favorite color
and then go to menu bar >Arrange> Combine then you
will get probably as shown below image.

Result: Logo Design is ready.

Experiment-2

AIM: Create an advertisement banner for

using it in a webpage.

Steps:-

Step 1
One of the most basic and common sizes for ad banners is:
300x250px. Open Adobe Photoshop and create a new
document that’s larger than that. I’ve used a simple grunge
texture on gray for the background.

Step 2

By using the Rectangle Tool (U), create a dark gray

rectangle. As we said, the rectangle must be 300×250 pixels.
Apply an Outer Glow effect to it (#343434).

Step 3

Apply an Inner Glow effect as well. Even if it looks blurry at

the moment, the inner glow will be a nice touch to our
rectangle when we finish it.

Step 4
We will apply a seamless (transparent) pattern to our shape.
We want it to be barely visible, that’s why I’ve set the blend
mode to: Soft Light and the opacity to 5 percent. The
pattern I used is a part of this set.

Step 5

We’ll finish the rectangle with a stroke effect. It must be 1px

in size and darker than the base color of our rectangle.

Step 6

Grab any ornamental vector set you can find on the web.
There are plenty of them available for free on the internet,
with lots of elements. I used 2 identical ornamental shapes
and placed them accordingly. For our headline, we will use
the “Bebas Neue” font, 48px. Apply a drop shadow effect to
the headline and to the ornamental shapes as well.

Step 7

Grab the Rounded Rectangle Tool (U), set the radius to 2

pixels and create a shape of 260×125 pixels. Apply a drop
shadow effect to it. You’ll have to duplicate the shape two
times, and reduce the size of the first by 1 percent and the
second one by 2 percent.

Step 8
Input some text by using the “Museo Slab” font (#887e7e).
Grab any 16×16 px icons from the IconSweets 2 set and
place them accordingly. By using the Line Tool (U), create
two subtle lines (#e6e6e6) which will work as dividers for
the text strokes.

Step 9

By using the Rounded Rectangle Tool (U), create a red shape

(#dc4027). This will be the base for our call-to-action
button. Apply a drop shadow effect.

Step 10

Apply a subtle inner shadow effect. Set the opacity to 15

percent.

Step 11

Apply a gradient overlay effect with a soft light blend mode

applied. Set the opacity to 35%.

Step 12

Finish the button by adding the stroke effect. Set the Fill
Type as Gradient so you can apply a darker red color for the
bottom part and a brighter one for the “first half” of the
button.

Step 13
Use the “Bebas Neue” font again to input some text on the
button. It can be whatever you’d like, I chose “Sign Up.”
Apply some drop shadow to the text as well.

Step 14

Your Banner is ready.

AIM: Create a 2D animation/cartoon using

any 2D software.

Steps:-
Creating a male cartoon avatar in Inkscape

Step 1

Download and Install Inkscape software from official site.

Take a new sheet by pressing Ctrl+n or file -> new ->set your
sheet properties
Create the basic elements of the character: the head, ears,
neck, the shadow under the head and shoulders. It should be
noted that in this case the head looks almost square and
shoulders are sharper.

Step 2
1. Make an eye more rounded. Eyebrow can be created in two
ways:
 by curving the ellipse path (F5);
 with the Bezier curve (Shift+F6) in “Ellipse” shape mode.
If the width of the path does not suit you, you should convert
the object to path (Path > Object to Path) and go to the
menu Path > Dynamic Offset (Ctrl+J). By dragging the white
pointer to the left and right, you change the offset distance. To
be able to edit and move the path after the applying Dynamic
Offset, you should convert the object to path
again (Shift+Ctrl+C).
2. Detail the ears, create the nose path and move on to the lips.
After creating three objects for lips make the middle path
darker to visually separate the lips apart.
3. Then move on to the creation of a beard with a Bezier
curve (Shift+F6) and a rectangle (F4). Most likely, the beard will
come out beyond the path of the head. If it wasn’t originally
intended, unite both created objects (Path > Union) and do the
intersection with duplicate of a head (Path > Intersection). By
the way, the use of intersections can greatly simplify your work.
4. Create a hair path, make the nodes smooth. It should be
noted here that the hair are placed in the foreground (Object >
Raise To Top).

Step 3
1. Clothing, in which our character is dressed symbolize his
occupation. In this case, we have chosen the most common
variant: a shirt and a tie. This look can tell that our character is
the office employee.
— Create a shirt path and move on to the shirt collar. The collar
consists of three parts, one of which will be located behind the
character (Object > Lower to Bottom). The other two parts are
symmetrical, flipped horizontally (H) and filled with a lighter
color.
— The tie can be created by using a simple square (Ctrl+F4).

 Create a square and rotate it by 45 degrees (by holding

down the Ctrl button)
 Duplicate (Ctrl+D) the rhomb, extend its length and add an
additional node.
 Duplicate the shirt rectangle and make the intersection
with the tie (Path > Intersection).
2. Add details to hair, eyes and lips.

Step 4
Finishing touches include creating shadows under the shirt’s
collar, adding highlight on the nose, detailing hair and eyes,
adding a volume to the tie with lighter elements.

Note:
Some elements that make your avatar too much detailed
(highlight for iris, lips and nose) may be omited. Especially if
you plan to use avatar only in low resolution.
That's all! Our male cartoon avatar is ready. To make it more
lively, you can experiment with its facial expressions.
Such emotion as a surprise can be expressed through rounded
mouth, wide eyes and raised eyebrows. Joy is expressed
through a broad smile and happiness — with a bigger smile and
raised eyebrows. Sneaky expression can be created with
narrowed eyes, one raised eyebrow and with a smirk instead of
a smile.
When you create a facial expression you need to consider the
position and shape of such face parts as eyebrows, eyes and
mouth. You can even experiment in front of the mirror and try
to portray different emotions by yourself as a reference.

AIM: Use HTML Multimedia support to play

different audio and video formats in a
browser.

Steps:-

1. For adding video on the webpage we use the video tag.

The tag consists several attributes like:
<video width="320" height="200" controls>
<source src="Wildlife.mp4" type="video/mp4"></source>
</video>
2. Here the “src” is the source of the video and we have
specified the height and width of the video and the controls
attribute is used for having controls on the video like :
play,pause,fullscreen,etc.
3. For adding the audio on the webpage we use the audio tag.
The tag consists several attributes like:
<audio controls>
<source src="pixel_android.mp3" type="audio/mpeg">
</audio>
4. Here the “src” is the source of the audio and the controls are
given for play and pause function.
Result: Your webpage with audio and video is ready.
