Industrialized countries have recognized their responsibility for climate change due to greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel combustion. This is causing global warming effects like rising seas, melting ice, extreme weather, and threats to food security. While commitments have been made to reduce emissions, they will not be enough to ensure future generations have sufficient resources for a high quality of life. Global warming is a serious problem that could end human society if not addressed, but economic interests have prevented more substantial action from being taken to transition away from fossil fuel dependence. Collective action is needed because Earth is the only home we have.

Today, the industrialized countries have assumed their responsibility in the
global warming of the planet as a result of the phenomenon of climate change, accepting in this sense the principle of international environmental law called "Common but Differentiated Responsibilities", that is, industrialization and large corporations through of the highly developed states have recognized their responsibility in the face of climate change and that is why the commitments to reduce greenhouse gases caused by the combustion of fossil fuels such as oil, coal and gas have caused the increase in toxic gases that heat the seas and the atmosphere altering natural processes and generating sea level rise, ice melting at the poles, acid rains, frosts, droughts, floods and the acceleration of phenomena that should have occurred naturally in longer periods of time and not in such short periods, affecting food security and causing the displacement of thousands of people to other places in order to survive. But despite all these events induced by human activity by burning fossil fuels is not endangering only the life and health of the people who are part of this generation but of future generations and in addition to the diverse system of life of species that inhabit our biosphere and nevertheless these reduction commitments will not be enough to ensure the objective of guaranteeing future generations the quality of life, that is, drinking water, energy, and necessary resources so that they can be fully developed and integral way Scientists argue that 2014 has been the warmest year since global records (since 1880) and that this year we have exceeded these records by several months. Global warming is already causing an increase in extreme climatic events that threaten, among other factors, food security. Although the issue of global warming is a topic that has a long history, even human beings do very little to delay its effects. It should be noted that this is a problem that can put an end to the survival of society, since despite the existence of many technologies to reduce our dependence on fuels, the interests of economic groups (oil companies, automobile manufacturers) make the need for action take a second place. We all must do our bit because, after all, it is the only place we have to live.
