7.NAME CALLING: Uses derogatory language or words that carry a negative connotation when describing an

COMPONENTS OF A REPORT
1. Title Page
o Name of the report
o Name, title and organization of the individual receiving the report
o Picture that is relevant to the report
o Authors name, title, and organization
o Date submitted
2. Table of Contents
o Show the beginning page number of where each report heading appears in the report
o Connect the page numbers and headings with spaced dots (leaders)
o Do not number this page
3. Introduction
o Explain the purpose of the report
o Describe its background and significance
o Close the introduction by previewing the reports organization
4. Body/Results of study
o Discuss, analyze, and interpret the research findings
o Discuss proposed solution to the problem
o Arrange findings in logical sequence
o Use clear, descriptive headings as well as charts, graphs and pictures to emphasize your
points.
5. Conclusion and Recommendation
o Explain what the findings mean in relation to the original problem
o Use numbered recommendations that suggest actions for solving the problem
6. Bibliography
