Dear Parents/Guardians,
2nd December: Our school choir participated
in a carol service in the Church. It was a
lovely evening of music and song and the girls
sang beautifully. Thanks to Ms. Higgins, Ms Gaffey, Orla and Ms.
Buckley for helping out with the choir and to Margaret Broome for
accompanying the girls on the organ.
6th December: We held our parent/teacher meetings and were very
pleased with the turnout of parents. Thanks to all for coming, it means
so much to your children.

11 December: Two teams from the school travelled to Athlone IT to
take part in an Indoor Athletics competition. The girls entered the
long jump, sprints, long distance runs and relays.
They performed really well and won plenty of
medals. Well done to the 3rd and 4th Class team that
came second overall in their category. Junior Team:
Angel Akinsulire, Liana Boland, Emma Francis and
Annalyse McInerney Senior Team: Allyssa Bennies,
Lillian Clear, Niamh Hughes and Olivia Maria Matthew. Thanks to Mr
Murphy for helping with the teams.

12th December: We held our annual Christmas
raffle. Well done to all our winners. Huge thanks
to everyone that bought/ sold tickets, or donated

A number of 6th Class girls have been really busy knitting for
Christmas. They have very kindly donated their creations to Beaumont
Hospital as part of their knitivity campaign. Thanks to Ms. Marron, Ms.
Brophy and Ms. Lee for helping the girls with their knitting. Thanks to
Eilis and Bernie from Fahey’s Pharmacy for collecting the knitting
which will be on sale in the chemist, with all proceeds going to
Beaumont Hospital.
Ms Buckley invited the parents of Ms Byrne’s and Ms. Brennan’s class
to St. Philomena’s to work on Christmas art activities with the girls.
Thank you to everyone that came and we hope you enjoyed it as much
as we did.
19th December: Ms. Higgins and Ms Gaffey’s classes welcomed their
families to the top floor for a Christmas brunch. The girls were great
hosts and their families were delighted with their hospitality.
