MUSIC DRAMATIC NEWS SOUNDTRACK
News Presenter: In other news, today marks the start of Team 0
4 2 6’s 36th mission to Mars. They have been
living in Space outside of Mars’s orbit for
just over 3 years now, and have made a lot of
progress with researching life on Mars. Their
most recent under taking, mission 36, involves
taking samples from Mars’s core.

SOUND BEEPING, RADAR SIGNALS, AIR LOCK HISSING,
Cosmic Satellite Atmosphere
SOUND WALKIE TALKIE SOUND, SIMON’S VOICE IS CRACKLY
OVER THE COMS
Simon: Station 0 4 2 6 this is Huston Ground control,
do you copy?
Michael: (Coughs) Yep I copy. What do you want?
Simon What is the Status of the station?
Michael Status is um good. John’s still outside fixing
bay 13’s generator. I think he’s almost done.

John Yeah just sealing up the hatch then I’ll be
back. Why? Is ground Control on coms?
Michael Unfortunately yeah.
John You’ve done the report haven’t you?
Michael Uh yeah sure, just uh giving the report now.

Michael Yeah John’s fixed the generator. The station’s
fully functioning now.
Simon Captain, a full report of the station is
expected. Please have this completed for 0

Michael Yeah whatever I’m doing it.
Simon: What is your situation with mission 36?
Michael: Yeah um almost complete. Jackson is on his way
back from Mars’s surface in Pod 22. He has
samples of the core that Eric’s ready to
analyse in the lab.
Simon: Roger that. Send that report once it has been
completed.
Michael: Alright. Is that everything?
Simon: Yeah that’s- Wait hold on. What is your
current location 0 4 2 6. Our computers are
saying your still in Space sector 78. A meteor
shower is headed for that location in 0 100
hours. You have relocated after our warning
right?
Michael: Uuumm ye- ugh yeah we’ve moved to um sector
76. Station’s tracking is just a bit laggy I
think.
Simon: Copy that. I advise that you stay clear of
sector 78 for 24 hours to avoid any damage to
the station.
Michael: Yeah copy that.
Simon: Alright then. Have a good day Captain. Over.

Michael: Twat. What’s a meteor shower gonna do?
John: Hey Eric, do you copy.
Eric: Yeah I hear you loud and clear.
John: Yeah um, generator fixed. Give it a couple of
minutes and the air lock will be back on line
and you can get back to your lab.
Eric: Cheers John. Do you want me to open the hanger
door?
John: Nah it’s alright for a couple of minutes. I’m
just gonna admire the view.

John: Yeah, Earth’s so small from here. I just look
at it and wander how my wife and kids are
doing.

Michael: Crew, this is your captain speaking. Make sure
that hanger 3 is clear for Pod 22 to enter.
Can someone get the Jet Containers to the pod
ASAP cos it has valuable cargo on bored.

of my life in space just to lose it all.
