Abstract – Based on data from the WHO, the victims died from traffic accidents around the
world reached 1.24 million per year. Traffic accidents occur not only because of human factors
but environmental factors, and road factors can affect the accident rate. The purpose of this
study is to plan the design of road safety solutions to reduce the accident rate at blackspot
locations. Blackspot analysis uses a comparison between EAN and UCL with the parameters
of the physical condition of the road, the condition of the road equipment, the data of accidents
each year, and the speed of the vehicle. The analysis result is that Hanoman Intersection is a
blackspot with an AEK value greater than UCL, 137> 75.5. The dominant type of accident is
a rear-front collision of 37.5% and the most involved vehicle is a motorcycle with 69.23%. A
cheap and affordable handling solution is with signs and markers.
