BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Study habits can be good ones which can lead to a
student to be a successful person someday, being
successful, in school requires effective study habits. A
study habits play an important role in determining
his/her success in the learning process. According to Cher
Ping Lim (2009), in appropriate use of technology in
education can lead to negative effects which should be
avoided while in the other hand effective use of ICT’S as
teaching learning resources and effective digital literacy
skills has been associated with significant increase
students achievement. Students gain confidence as they
get engaged by their lecturers and sometimes work
together with lecturers as co-workers in attempt to solve
some technological problems.
THEORITICAL FRAMEWORK
According to Singh (2011) examined academic and study
habits of Senior High School students. The study has conducted
on higher secondary school students, randomly selected from
higher secondary schools. The results indicate that girls and
boys differ significantly in their study habits and academic
performances.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Specifically, this study focused on study habits of ICT
grade 11 students in Semirara National High School

1. What are the study habits of ICT grade 11 students of

Semirara National High School?
2. How they affects their academic performance?
3. Is there a significant relationship between ICT students
study habits and their academic performance?
HYPOTHESIS
Students must develop and established good study habits
in doing school work which can raise their academic
performance. Students can easily attain the mastery and areas
of specialization and excellent performances from the to
gradually attain achievement through their consistent study
habits high grades are commonly the aim of students.
Successful students employ time management system to add
meaning and interest to their study time, to create study
pattern that work and use active learning methods and
maintaining their motivation by connecting reasons for study to
their life goals and values.
Significance of the study
This study aimed to determine the study habits of ICT
