The Royal Visit

Ysgol Bae Baglan was visited by Princess Anne. She arrived at
Wednesday 24th October 2018. She stayed for 1 hour and 45
minutes.
What happened at the visit: The Princess arrived and was met
by the HM Lord Lieutenant of West Glamorgan and they were
greeted by Mr Tate (our head teacher). Mr Tate showed the
Princess around the school and she met some students.
Who came to the visit: The princess, HM Lord Lieutenant of
West Glamorgan, Mrs Hillary Lewis, Mr Mike Tate, Mr Gareth
Williams, a handful of students and other teachers invited to
the visit.
Where did they first meet the Princess: At the school which she
arrived at in a land rover.
When did she Visit: Wednesday 24th October 2018.

Why did she choose this school: She was interested in

opportunities that the school had to offer and the merger of the
schools.
How did the visit go: It went well and Buckingham Palace sent a
letter to thank the school.
