OSMOTIC PRESSURE
I. Objectives:
 Perform the osmotic pressure.
II. Materials:
 (4) 250 ml beaker
 (2) tomatoes
 Raisins
 Salt
 Distilled water
 Stirring rod

IV. Procedures:
1. In a beaker, fill a 150 ml of distilled water.
2. Dissolve salt in water in 2 beakers until no more salt dissolves. The
other 2 beaker will hold pure distilled water.
3. Submerge five raisins and tomatoes.

VI. Conclusions:
Therefore I conclude that the raisins swelled in size because the pure
water and the brine solution in solution outside migrated to the solution
inside. While the tomatoes are shrunk because the concentration of
solutes inside the tomatoes was less than the concentration of salt in the
brine solution.
