Plot synopsis
Ishaan, a student who has dyslexia, cannot seem to get anything right at his boarding
school. Soon, a new unconventional art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, helps him
discover his hidden potential.
  Exposition
With time, patience and care, he ultimately helps Ishaan find himself. Taare Zameen
Par is a story about a child played by Darsheel Safari who suffers from dyslexia. As a
result of which he is unable to cope with daily life, during his early childhood.

 Conflict
Taare Zameen Par Every Child Is Special December 28, 2007. There is a scene
in Taare Zameen Par when the protagonist Ishaan runs away from school and loiters
on the road for the whole day – for the fear of being punished for not having done his
homework.

 Climax

 Resolution
A new art teacher comes to class, by the name of Mr Nikumbh. He too has Dyslexia,
and he shows Ishaan how to read and learn using specific teaching methods.
Eventually, the two forge a close bond togehter and Ishaan discovers his talent in art.
He then participates in an art competition and wins, giving a happy ending to the movie,
where people finally appreciate his talents

Plot
Eight-year-old Ishaan Awasthi dislikes school and fails every test or exam. He finds all
subjects difficult and is belittled and berated by his teachers and classmates. However,
Ishaan's internal world is full of wonders that he is unable to convey to others, magical
lands filled with colour and animated animals. He is also an artist whose talent is
unrecognised.
Ishaan's father, Nandkishore Awasthi, is a successful executive who expects his
children to excel. Ishaan's mother, housewife Maya Awasthi, is frustrated by her inability
to educate her son. Ishaan's elder brother, Yohaan, is an exemplary scholar and
athlete, which Ishaan is frequently reminded of.
After receiving a particularly poor academic report, Ishaan's parents send him to a
boarding school. There he sinks into a state of fear and depression, despite being
befriended by Rajan Damodharan, a physically disabled boy and one of the top
students in the class. He even contemplates suicide by climbing up the fence in a
terrace, which Rajan manages to save him from.
