SYNOPSIS OF EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL

Taare Zameen Par, or Every Child is Different, is an Indian drama film released in 2007 and
directed for his debut film by Aamir Khan. The film's main characters are Ishaan Awasthi, who is played
by Darsheel Safary and Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who is played by Aamir Khan. The film concerned an
eight-year-old boy named Ishaan Awasthi. Ishaan never wanted to go to school so he failed every exam
and test he was given. He found it very difficult to go to school, and his teachers and classmates also
always made him feel unimportant. But it is packed with wonders in Ishaan's imaginary world, with all
the magical lands, creatures, and everything that is very imaginable. Ishaan is an artist but no one else
seems to appreciate, he is unrecognized. Came the day Ishaan's parents received an academic report from
their children. Ishaan's parents send him to a boarding school after seeing the report card, because he
unfortunately got really low grades. Because of that, Ishaan was in a state of distress and depression
because he already had one friend who is Rajan, the top student in their class, in their school. But one
day, even Ishaan's situation changes when a new art teacher, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, bursts onto the
scene. The teaching style of Nikumbh was quite different from others, as he inspired the students to be
happy and optimistic. He also quickly noticed that Ishaan was depressed and had never taken part in the
class so he set out to find out why. Nikumbh came to visit the parents of Ishaan, and asked if he could see
more of the works of Ishaan. He was really shocked as soon as he saw Ishaan's drawings, because the art
of the children is perfectly wonderful. Nikumbh then told Ishaan's parents that the child is a smart one
who transmits knowledge differently than other students.
Nikumbh offers Ishaan's parents an aid in becoming his personal tutor. He told the class about
dyslexia and gave a list of dyslexic famous people, and also admitted to Ishaan that with dyslexia he still
faced the same problems. Nikumbh strengthens Ishaan's reading and writing skills with the aid of the
remedial techniques developed by dyslexia specialist. Ishaan's grades were improving fast enough and he
also has an interest in language and mathematics. As the school year ended. Nikumbh is organizing an art
fair contest, judged by an artist, Lalita Lajmi. Ishaan became the winner because of his creative style and
as the runner-up Nikumbh was. They were extremely grateful to Nikumbh. And as Ishaan leaves he turns
back and runs to Nikumbh to hug him. The film ends with a scene in which Nikumbh tosses Ishaan into
the air.
